I just went out to crank my RV and it won't start. I checked the voltage on the battery and it read 11.38. Is this low enough to keep it from cranking? I also tried my battery boost switch and nothing there either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I understand that 12.2 is essentially 50% discharged so your voltage would indicate that the battery is too low for much cranking.

You need to recharge the batteries or get a jump start.

If you have ERS call them for a jump. If not charge the batteries. Good luck.

I had the same problem and the dealer told me to hold the auxiliary start button down for up to fifteen minutes before trying again. I did and it started. It gave the house batteries enough time to charge the chassis batteries. By the way my chassis batteries were deader than dead as they didn't have enough power to even make the gauges go through their starting procedure.
Now the question is why after only two weeks after driving are they this dead? I will add this repair to my long running list.

Thanks guys (and gals) I got it started! I jumped it from the toad battery. I was checking my water levels in the batteries when I discovered it wouldn't start.

Did you have any kind of battery charger (solar, battery minder, inverter, or converter) hooked up during the two weeks? If not, did you leave the batteries connected, i.e., not set the battery disconnect switches? If both the above are true, your batteries discharged from the parasitic loads in the coach (radio, CO detector, other detectors, etc.).

I had never heard about holding the aux. start button down for 15 minutes or more. Last year my starter batteries were dead. They were 5 years old, so I just replaced them. I did try the aux. button first, but all I did was hold it down, as I turned the key. Nothing happened, so I just figured it wasn't wired right. I knew my house batteries were fully charged. If my starter batteries go dead again, I will try holding the aux. button down for 15 minutes.
