The month of October, working in Illinois, I set up my 5th wheel at a campground surrounded by corn fields on all 4 sides. During the harvest, I found my r/v covered with thousands of beatles that looked like lady bugs, but aren't. I have been back in Florida the month of November & these small beatles continue to appear on the ceilings. I am guessing there are many more between the inside & outside structure, as in the insulation areas & continue to come out, mostly at night as if being drawn by lights. Surely someone out there knows what I am talking about & knows how to get rid of these beatles. Help!

LOL We dealt with them for years They are real annoyances...we would spend an hour every evening vacuuming them up. We found they were coming in thru the window weep holes
No answer...just don't squish them. They stink

They are asian beetles. Thank the government for bringing them here. I have seen some things online to rid yourself of them. Don't squish them as they stink bad and will leave orange stains. Normally they die off in the cold, But you have taken them into the warm weather so who knows? I usually have to suck up about a thousand in the spring. We lucked out here in Wisconsin and it got cold early and killed most of them.

They are asian beetles, do a google search and there are ways of killing them. I agree don't squish them, I call them stink bugs. Not only do they smell they will also leave an orange stain.

I can relate to your problems. the first place we camped with our new Rockwood, after picking it up in Elkhart was at Lake Carlysle and those darned beetles nearly drove us nuts. They were trying to force they way past the rubber seals where our double hung windows sealed and a couple of them actually were able to do it. That wasn't around harvest time and nowhere near a corn field but was in June. Trees in the park were looking pretty bad also, with most of the leaves badly eaten.

Like everyone else said, they're Asian beetles. There is no good news, sorry.
We picked them up somewhere in Iowa and had them the whole time we wintered in Florida. They stain when you crush them also.

The beetles were brought in to control the aphids in the soybean fields. We have had them for a few years and they are annoying. I found a spray at our local farm supply store called BugMax 365 that will take care of them. Spray around windows, doors, basement wall and any where else you can.It does not stain where you spray and takes care of those annoying stinky bugs. Do not squish them or leave them in your vacuum because they really SMELL !!!!!!!!!!!
