Tell the 43K bandit that you only want to send one of his children to university, not all six.

I would not have anything to do with this salesman at any price because he is making fun of youe intelligence buy asking such a rediculous price. If you like to play games, tell him you will give him $100.00 for it delivered and guaranteed for 90 days on the entire unit. Bob

I would have to agree with what everyone else has said. The last few months I've been keeping track of sold prices (Ebay) and listing prices (RV Trader, Van City RV, Craigslist) of older class B's. I've seen a 2000 Roadtrek 200 Popular for $25,000, and a 2003 for $30,500. These were both listings on Craigslist.

Dan: You might try downloading and running CraigsPalFree. It will search the Craigslists all over the country and you can get a pretty good idea what other people are asking I did a search on 2002 Roadtrek and got five hits, all between 24 and 30k. And, I've found that NADA often seems to be low.

I bought a 2003 RT200 from a Roadtrek dealer in January of 05. When I told the salesman that the price was way too high, he said something to indicate that the asking price was negotiable. We went into his office and I pulled up a website to check NADA value. He then agreed to a price about $10,000 less than originally asked. No arguement or hard bargaining, just acceptance of the facts.

Wow what a deal, those Era class B units run about $100,000 up here in Canada,$25,000 will buy you a 15 year old well travelled Class B in my neighborhood

Jambo101, if I read Don-in-AZ posting correctly, he stated that he bought a new 2009 Winnebago ERA for only $25,300 MORE than the asking price for the 2002 Roadtrek 200 Popular. What would be $68,300, or $43,000 + $25,300.

Don't know about prices now, but in August 2008 we purchased our fully loaded 2004 30th Anniversary Edition C190P for $39,000 from a private party. It had 25,000 miles, the complete set of service records that came with it showed that it had just been serviced by Chevrolet, the Onan generator with 32 hours had just been serviced by Cummins, and it had a brand new set of Bridgestone AT Revos on it.
Included in the deal were a Florida room, tire and front windshield covers, back-up camera, Viper alarm system, and pots/pans/dishes. Last but not least, it had just been registered the week before with CA DMV; that in itself was a $400 avoided expense. The van had just been detailed and was spotless.
We haven't had a single problem with it, and the conscientious seller has stayed in touch with us since the purchase.

The dealer must be hurtin' bad... Less than $70k for a newly converted Sprinter rivals the prices paid 4-5 yrs. ago.
