Would a 4 yr old enjoy it?

Yes! If you have more than 1 remote, 1 will be the main one that controls which game is chosen, etc. The 4 year old will want that remote as soon as he/she finds out that it is the main one. . enjoy.

I had no idea what to buy either. Thanx for the above advise. Target has a package with the console, controller, numbchuck and Sports game in one box. It was $199 plus you got a $20 gift card that we used toward the $99 Wii Fit Plus and an extra $39 controller. DW loved the bowling as she constantly and handily kick my butt.

What specifically do I need to get?
Usually the bundles come with enough stuff to get you going nicely, if not you pay more down the road for extra attachments.

for the 4 year old. depends on the 4 year old. mine is now five and is starting to actually be able to play more. he has trouble pointing at the tv on the one ones that require that. if it is a driving game make sure it is one that you hold the controller sideways and use it like a steering wheel. we have one that you use the arrow or the joystick on one hand and the button for gass on the other and he had problems with that at first. he still had fun though but frustrating for us. I am sure they have games that are more suited or that age also. Also they have accessories like a steering wheel the controller goes into and golf club and others that give it more of the real affect than just he controller. They are great but will say we do not use it as much as I would like at time. Some of the games can give you a work out. My wife and I worked up a sweat playing the boxing game one night.

good luck

One quick note, Game cube games work with the Wii if you use Game Cube controllers
