M47Charlie posts here once in awhile - he has one and it is actually featured on - I think - the Unicat website. Ultimately it's truly not a TC like mentioned before, just like the Earthroamers, but those peoples tatses are similar to us TC'ers.
Cool rigs for sure.

I was fortunate to take a new Unimog for a test ride at the dealer, and the Unimog engineer happened to be there that day so hopped in with me.
I'm not going to go on and on on how amazing this vehicle is because I would run out of room. The most interesting point I took away from the drive and long talk with the engineer was Unimog has poor sales because they build the vehicle too well. People, Counties, states that buy thee vehicles only buy one and they last for 40 years....and that's the "PROBLEM"
One quick story though. While we were on our test drive we went buy a construction site, it was poring rain and there was a huge mud hole on the site. The Engineer said go through that mud hole, I want to show you something. I did as requested and as the Unimog sunk up to it's doors it just keep going and came out the other side.
To say I was impressed is an understatement.
I never was going to buy it, I only wanted to take that beast for a ride and boy oh boy did I go for a ride, but rest assured if I ever have a need for a beast like that it will be a Unimog.

It makes a very good chassis for a large heavy camper.
Quiet, good ride on and off roads, 9 mpg @ 60mph weighing >26000 lb; top speed = 70mph. Really a heavy duty Class 7 truck with excellent offroad/badroad capabilities. You can see mine at:
