Has anyone ever worked for this company? Is it a scam or legit do you think? It came through from the Workamper News but I'm not sure how much they vet their ads.

There is a post on another forum, think it was escapees that talked about them.Seemed to be a lot of negative about them.Even the owner of the company was posting there. From what I read it was a lot of computer work.

That's what I am afraid of...I don't mind the computer work as my condition can take it easier than standing on my feet for 10 hours a day like at Amazon....they said you do have to travel to Tampa for 2 days of training...

From my research it's a legit job But it is a 1099 contract job and you pay ALL your own expenses from the amount they give you for the job. School pays $50/day (single or couple) and each job pays an amount set when you take the assignment. Looks like you could do a couple hundred a day IF you could get jobs close together that wouldn't be too bad. The work is complex, tedious keyboard and phone work at a client site. Caveat to me is the travel and living expenses will eat up the income so it'll pretty much be a break-even or slight loss in the end. Old company with a whole new endeavor so things will get better, or worse.......Time will tell

That was my opinion too...I'm ok with the independent contractor aspect as I have been doing it for years with my merchandising...same deal, no mileage, no drive time...you better make up a profitable route to make any money. Of course, that allows me to write off my business expenses on my taxes too though...I am thinking this would be a good fit for me with my fibro and my husband doing another workamping job...

I suggest that you read this report from the Better Business Bureau and also this threadon a forum of small business owners. I have no experience with them one way or the other.

Read both items. The negativity does not seem deserved for this new endeavor of an old company.
The BBB article says New Company therefor no rating other than B+
The posts on the forum address not so much this company but IF a person should use this type of service.
From a workamper standpoint this is just another 1099 "pay your own way" contract job that would be good for folks in a very narrow situation but not profitable for the majority of people.
As a certified SCORE Councelor I can tell you SCORE advises but does not do! These people have you provide data and then they do the forms. Here again may or may not be what a specific individual needs for their business........
