I would love to add another tank to mine as well. 20 gallons just doesn't really work for me, especially when the whole family goes along. I almost always carry three six gallon water containers for extra capacity and to refill the main water tank from. Not really a big deal when camping in a campground with water as I usually make a greywater dumping run and a water tank refilling run once a day. But when boondocking, we have to be extra careful with water (not really if we skip showers)
Assuming that there is enough weight capacity for the extra water weight my concern on a regular single-axle popup would be reducing the percent of weight on the tongue and therefore inducing some sway.
The small water tank issue doesn't just apply to popups - I've noticed that most smaller TT's and Hybrids don't have very big water tanks either.

What if you added 2 31group batties up front along with two propane tanks? That should come somewhat close to 150 pounds of extra water for an extra tank right?

Awesome work. I was looking into a mod like that for my E4. I don't usually fill my entire cargo deck like you do, so I was thinking about getting a 75 gallon industrial water tank to just put onto the deck. Move the water to the tank with a drill pump.
So far the two 5 gallon Wally World water cans have been enough.

Finally got around to finish the plumbing of the 2 tanks. I wanted to finish it up since we were heading out camping this past weekend and actually got back about an hour ago. Well here are the plumbing pictures.
I tied into the existing fill line and added a T so that I could fill both tanks at once. The T in that is in the front of the pictures goes to another water pump I put in for a previous mod.

Better shot of the T.

All the clear tubing is the additional tubes I put in. Here is the tubes going back the additional tank.

I also added a drain for the tank and a tube that connected the existing tanks water pump tube with the new tank. This way the trailers water pump can pull from both tanks.

We used it for the last couple of nights out in the cold nights of Arizona. That nice warm shower did me good.
Off to the next MOD. Hmmm, what will it be?
