America's thinnest car?: Maker of super-skinny Tango electric aims to restart production.

At a bit more than three feet wide, the Tango is clearly in contention for bragging rights to claim to be America's skinniest car. Eleven were built and now Rick Woodbury says he's like to create more, so he's taking orders. It certainly is unique, even as a commuter car.

Never! Looks more like an "enclosed motorscooter". Code words for a "Death trap".

I might consider it except for the ridiculous $150,000 price tag. What fool would buy one at that price?

We have idiots up here that when drunk, get a kick out of tipping Smart Cars on their sides, I can just imagine what they'd do with one of those. Might be suitable for running around the halls of the IBM complex at Endicott NY. Anywhere else, no way. Can't even strap a bag of clubs to it!

I saw one of these cars in van Nuys, CA about a week ago. It accelerated like a rocket from the stop light and it looked like it had been squeezed in a vise.
