The post says he purchased that combo... Why criticize his purchase. The Montana 3000 is one of smaller and lighter Montana Models and the truck can stay within the spec's. I am sure you will both enjoy the truck and Montana.

??????
Length 35'6
Height 12'9
Shipping weight 100720
Carrying Capacity 3500
= 14220 GVWR
Third highest pin weight of all the 2009 Montana's and you think it is one of the smaller and lighter Montana Models?
Montana

Congrat's my friend, great combo there!!!!!! If she's mad just take her to the kitchen in the new rig or show her the comfy seat next to the fire place insert and LCD TV.

Don't think he was carping, more concern which is a good thing for us to have for eachother. Sure that the OP checked into weight and so forth before buying. Sounds to me like a great combo and lots of fun to be had in the future for both of them! I think he's slightly (cough!) exaggerating about his DGF's dismay...who could be upset over getting a brand new fiver???

I don't blame her for being angry! For what you spent on the truck and trailer, you could have had a nice wedding, and a honeymoon in Tahiti, then came home and bought a 5 year old truck and trailer, and possibly had money left!
sheesh, man, WHERE are your PRIORITIES??

I have my proirities in line, dont worry about that...we both have stellar jobs, and she knows i'll treat her right. The truck sits about 2" higher in the front, and im running 305/70/17 on it with 10" wide procomp rims. its got a nice look to it.

I guess the only thing worse than bashin a guys purchase is throwing falsehoods out there - the 3000RK is the 2nd heaviest pin weight of all 10 Montana models, with a pin weight 500 lbs heavier than the comparable 2955RL model with similar dry weight and length.

Still nice units though - congratulations on your purchase, sorry about the girl . You gonna miss her?

"The post says he purchased that combo... Why criticize his purchase. The Montana 3000 is one of SMALLER and LIGHTER Montana Models and the truck CAN stay within the spec's. I am sure you will both enjoy the truck and Montana."

I did not say anything about pin weight . At 14,220 GVWR ony the 2955 and the 3150 are lighter. He does not give the complete configuraton of the truck./ But any of the configurations have a payload cap of over 3K. What is your problem Brad...?????
