I wouldn't send YOU one thin dime, but if you get off your duff and find out the circumstances from the store manager, I bet lots of folks would be willing to help if indeed this situation was folks who simply are doing the best they can.

You are making assumptions without finding out the whole story. I've seen you do that alot on these forums. Here's your chance to prove me wrong, go talk to the store manager and tell us the scoop. Otherwise, you are simply looking down your nose at folks you have no idea about.

Come on oldguy, prove me wrong. I DARE YOU!!

Got a PayPal account? I'll send the $20 but I would bet that you will sit in judgement of everyone else before you spend it on someone who needs it. Get a life.

I can hardly wait until I am an "old(er) guy" and have nothing better to do that mind everyone elses business but my own.

Since I grew up on WIC and food stamps (very common in the haydays of 12% unemployment in the 80's when my parents were laid off every other month) I am a giver, every week, to the United Way

We have a 90% participation rate in our plant, it comes out of our paychecks every week. Some give $1 and other's give much, much more.

I would hate to have your attitude towards generosity.

Boy the self righteous bunch you are! Good grief this all starts from a post about a mess at the WM lot. Heck it could be one of their employees for all anyone knows.
If I was the OP I "might" ask the store about the situation because it is a blight even for WM.
For all those judgmental types that posted here, get real it is time for the mod to step in and put you to bed! This site is about camping not your personal beliefs about the world.

If the mods start deleting the "judgmental" posts in this thread, the whole thing would have to disappear. The OP is judgmental from the very start.

I may have been just as guilty, but looking down on others without knowing their true circumstances really burns my a$$! Too much of that goes on in this world IMO. If the OP will go to the trouble to find out what the deal is and let us know, it would make me feel better.

This is either a problem or it is not a problem for WalMart only.

Before passing judgment, maybe one should attempt to find out the facts first.

I never worked for my money, or paid taxes, why would I do that…

I have never been wealthy, and always had a job with my name on my shirt, but have a great appreciation for what I do have, most of which can’t be bought…

I hope I never forget those less fortunate than I , and have always been willing to help… that is how I was brought up…

What amazes me the most is, I support your right to have that attitude, I just don’t respect it…

I could not have said it better. I agree and try to help others. Wish everyone would do this.

Your are right. But how do you know the difference.

That has always troubled me. I feel guilty if, on reflection, I fear that I passed up a chance to help a truly needy person. And, I feel guilty if, on reflection, I feel I rewarded a con artist.

So, I support organized charities and let them sort it out.

But, the dilemma still eats on me.
Sometimes ya just gotta take the chance that you are not being conned.....My friends and family told me I was "nuts" for responding to a craigslist ad that was asking for food....

I went and spent 170.00 of my "hard earned" money and emptyied my freezer for this woman who had a TEMPORARY situation where she needed help!

3 days later, she posted again thanking everyone who helped her and her family and stated, she "had so many offers that she turned some down".....3 weeks later, I received an email from her thanking me and she said things were looking up for them.

Sometimes ya just gotta take a chance....Could really help someone TEMPORARILY in need!...ESPECIALLY if there's KIDS involved!
