Best route to get to this park coming from Interstate 26. Towing 28 ft 5'er.

If you have the street address, just go to map quest and enter it and ask for map. I've been there once years ago, and remember it is off 17 then down a street, but can't remember the name.

You can come in Hwy 26 to Hwy 526 at end of 526 head east on Savannah Hwy (17) to 171 (Folly Rd) and go south down to Camp Rd until it ends and then turn right on Riverland - park is right ahead on left. You can go down Folly and turn onto Central Parkway which is what our Garmin had us do. I don't recommend that way as it may have just been us as Central seemed pretty narrow and righthand turn onto Central from Folly seemed pretty tight as does the lefthand turn from Central to Riverland, but that may just be us. Our fifth wheel is 38' long so you may not have the same issue. Either way you will be in traffic and the bridge over the river on Folly is a little narrow. You may want to call the park and see if they have better directions. Do not trust your Nav system.

We stayed at James Island last week.
Hawkhill is correct. It is much easier to go Folly Road all the way to a right turn on Camp Rd., then to a right on Riverland, then left into the park.
Don't tell anyone about this park. It is one of the best.

Before you criticize someone, always walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you DO criticize them, you will be a mile away, and have their shoes.

I always come up the back way from John's Island, the rt# escapes me at the moment, do not come in US 17 as you will find yourself on a very, very narrow rd.

The turn at Camp Road can be a bit tight for some folks. If you get to the turn and have questions about making it, don't fret. Just conitnue down Folly a few more blocks and turn right just before the Walmart. Go to the end and make another right, continue until you come to the park on the left.
