It has been a while since i took a trip and this one made up for lost time. I wanted to go somewhere new and had always admired an area along my trail to Las Vegas. So we headed out with our sights set for Nothing.

"are we there yet"

We're there.

Now lets go explore before it gets dark

This is what i believe is the Burro Creek Mine

Along the trail

The shadows are getting long...better start heading back.

The freezing point for a Phonecian is 50 degrees

Yes dear, I'll gather some wood and build a fire

Good morning, did somebody say treat?

time to hit the trail again

Well what do we have here?

A view from the inside of the hot spring

A nice beach

Some great scenery but we better start heading back so I can make that fire for mama

Not only does it haul the mail, it hauls the wood too.

Another day, another trail

I think theres a spider in your hair

Spooky

A big rock

Its getting cold again...better get back so we can get warm around...errr on the campfire.

Well it was time to go home and work off that hangover. We had a very pleasant trip and it was nice to only come in contact with 4 people over 4 days. Its a great place to visit, just dont tell anyone about it...

That looks like it was a cool trip. Like the look on the dogs and the bonfire.
Thanks for the post.

Well alright now, a super trip to an under-appreciated area just off the highway. Most folks don't even know it's there. We haven't been to Burro Creek since they started work on the highway many years ago. My wife won't go on that highway again, we almost lost our lives on it twice to idiot drivers coming head-on. Your wood buggy is great! All the pictures are great and I enjoyed being there vicariously. And they say there is Nothing there, let em keep thing that. Love the dogs too...

Those are awesome pictures - looks like you had a great time. Gotta love the hot springs soak. How hot was the water in the pool? Scalding or just warm?
