Cedar Creek also has some nice units in that length that would fall in your price range but you need to watch the pin weight. Some can be a little heavy on the pin, otherwise weight would be in the range you are looking for.

Our Brookside by Sunnybrook has been a great unit, 2 years old this month and no problems.

Howdy!

I also like the Glendale Titanium. They are a quaility built 5er.

They are tough to find east of the Mississippi & perhaps a little weighty for you but a used Alpenlite can be had in the price range & might fit the need.

We settled on a 34RLR because it is very much a 'couples' rather than a 'family' floorplan & at that length can get into most state parks with little issue.

Weight does seem to be linked to quality. All the little things add up. The better drawer slides, door hardware, thicker guage battery wire, more lighting, better switches, gelcoated sides, better steps, double glazed windows, etc. etc. etc. It all adds up.

As a boat owner for many years I look at RVs through a boaters eyes. There are many changes I would make to even so-called 'quality' 5ers. Unfortunately most of these changes would add many pounds to the base weight....& price.
