I don't believe it was linked to a specific post but rather the "New Posts" link. Once clicked on, it generated a generic pop up box with a warning message similar to something your Operating System or Internet security software would produce. Regardless of clicking on OK or Cancel it began downloading Cyber Security software etc onto your computer and once installed it hijacked your browser. If I had clicked on the Back button of the browser or Shift F4 (close window) instead the download could have been averted. I used the following link and 20 step process to quickly and easily scrub that junk/@#$% off my desktop and laptop. It took 20-30 minutes to accomplish but the computer is NOW protected with additional malware software. I hope this helps.

This works for me: when those kind of adds pop up, don't click on anything on the pop up. Reboot your computer, the add will be gone!!!

Is there a way to determine that you actually have the problem without needed to click on your link?
I'm a little shy about going to sites I don't know - especially now!

So, what does this have to do with a Class A motorhome?

You'll readily know if your computer has been affected with the unwanted software. Your desktop/taskbar will have new icons, your browser will not cooperate and you'll have plenty of annoying Cyber Security pop up boxes. If you don't have those symptoms, you're probably good to go.

Rob and Sue, as always, just like on Tiffin.net, both of you are always good to help provide answers, contact phone numbers, where we might get information etc.
I'm not really clear how to avoid infecting our computer. Do you get infected by clicking on a pop-up? Is a good "rule" is to just never, ever click on a pop up? I know we always click on "new Posts" when we go on the Tiffin Website. It was our understanding that clicking on "new post", is what would infect your/our computer.
By the way, thank you doing your thread on Class A Motorhomes. Thanks to JohnnyT (our moderator)for allowing us to post a thread here. We are looking for a couple who posted their photos of some upgrades on the Tiffin network, and Class A Motorhomes help us to reach more members in a shorter amount of time. Due to both these threads, we now have that information, in less than 24 hours. Thank you Class A Motorhome Forum!! Thanks JohnnyT and Rob&sue. I'll bet you help others along the road too.

Thanks! As soon as the "downloads" began, I tried to kill them - but I've updated, scanned, and had no sign of a problem. It's been years since I've seen such a thing.
I miss that Forum!!!

I can see how it does.
I can't see how you missed the other 50% of topics posted in Class A.

A bit of an introduction to this thread would have help a lot of people understand what this is about.
For those that have not figured it out, the Tiffin owner's forum was hit with a nasty virus over the weekend and is still out of service.
