U of Florida looked good. I was standing in the endzone when Touchdown Timmy Tebow broke Herschel Walker's SEC rushing touchdown record.
The Florida/Georgia weekend is my fave game of the year and Georgia fans are getting really good at taking their lickin every year.
We have a great spot for RV'ing; a shady, grassy, residential lot with four RV's on it a few blocks from the stadium.
Pretty amazing weekend.
USF looked good. We (UF) play USF next year. Its a rebuilding year for us so it could be an interesting season.
I think USF plays Miami next year. Good for them and I hope they win.
Florida has clinched the SEC EAST thanks to UT beating SC, so its up to Bama or LSU. Don't miss THAT game next weekend.
FSU had the lowest attendance at Doak (home) since 1993. Something has to change at FSU. I must confess, I am a member of GatorsforBobbyBowden.com. Helps our recruiting a bunch.

I think Bobby Bowden is the reason for the lowest attendance at Doak (home) since 1993. I look for a coaching change next year for FSU.

Going to be interesting to see how the Gators do when Tebow leaves. He is such an important part of that team.

It will be a different team for sure. Also losing Joe Haden, Brandon Spikes, etc. Pouncey twins may go NFL as Juniors.
Brantley is actually a better throwing QB than Tebow. Quicker decisions, faster release, way more precise throw.

Florida will be just fine without Tebow. Once a college football team finds success like Florida has, many of the top recruits want to go there. Basically what I'm saying is, success breeds success! The same holds true for Alabama, LSU, Texas, and USC. If you go to: scout.com, look at where most of the top recriuts go. Right now I think Florida, Texas, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, and Oklahoma have the best recruiting classes thus far this year. Ohio State used to be right up there in the top 5, and as a matter of fact had the #1 recruiting class last year, but I think loosing these bowl games has hurt them in the eyes of top high school football recruits. Notre Dame also gets a ton of top recruits because every good Catholic football player in the Unites States dreams of playing for Notre Dame. Right now the SEC teams have got 19 of the top 100 high school recruits. Big 8 is in 2nd. place and Big 10 3rd. JMHO, Bagman.

Florida beat us like an ugly step-child! However, Herschel did his numbers in three years, Tebow took 4.

You're right on on most of your post but the part about Notre Dame and every Catholic Schoolboy doesn't apply to the Gulf Coast, especially here in Louisiana. We have a huge Catholic population and probably more Catholic schools per captia than anywhere in the country. The Holy Team doesn't do well here except occasionally from Jesuit H.S. in New Orleans. Too many parents are Tiger fans and remember when N.D. was in the top 5 all the time while playing a very weak schedule even when losing 3 or 4 games. Of course the AP was the ruling body then.

Bowden can't stay there forever and when Jimbo takes over expect some serious competetion again. I'm sure he's got offers from other schools since he's been at FSU so they must be paying him very well.
Sorta seems like a waste of talent though. We sure hated to lose him in Baton Rouge.

And he is a QUARTERBACK! How many TD's did Herschel throw?

MCDDY, perhaps so, but in the Midwest (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois) and the East, this is especially true. Take a look at Notre Dame's recruiting classes over the last (5) years and see how many of their football player played their H.S. football at Catholic high schools. N.D. has rabid fans in all 50 states. Bags. ...So I went to Notre Dame's 2009 recruiting class of 18 football signees. Out of 18 recruits, 8 came from Catholic high schools. 2 came from St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.), 1 from Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, Ind.), 1 from Bishop Dwenger (Ft. Wayne, Ind.), 1 from Jesuit College H.S. (Dallas, Tex.), 1 from St, Ignatius (Cleveland, Oh.), 1 from Immaculate H.S. (Sommervile, N.J.), and 1 from Northwest Catholic H.S. (West Hartford, Ct.) Those eight recruits are a pretty good representation of the east, south, midwest, and west. Bags.
