After seeing the options available for truck campers, I am now in the quandry of discerning whether I should simply stay with my trailer+truck comb. or go with a truck camper. What say you all?

Not a person out here that can decide this for you.
Both have their positives and negatives..

It depends on your needs. If you want to pull a different trailer, like a boat or livestock trailer, a camper is a good alternative to a tent. If you want to park your camper and go traveling while on site, a TT might be better. Or, you could get both.

i have both. works out very nice,
truck camper is when i go alone.
travel trailer is for when i have other people with me. also when going close to home i take the trailer = more room, less steps like the trailer because of the space, plus have space in the pickup bed for firewood, bike, generator, but i just got the truck camper, (august )like the easy mobility of traveling with it. so local camping trailer under 65 miles away or a trip over 65 miles it will be the truck camper just rambling away.

When in doubt, stick with what you have; it's paid for.

Went from a class B ,class c , 37 ft TT to a 32 5'ver and now our second tc . We had a need for a 4x4 to tow our snow machines . We discovered the boondocking perk as well as the 'easy to park' aspect of it . The DW loves it , its great for shopping . Glad we did it , now we love it and we have met alot of nice people in the truck camper community .

We "lived" in a house trailer in the '60s... then decided we wanted a real recreation vehicle. Got our first truck camper in 1969... never looked back.

key words...

Small mobile home... made for daily living... from one park to another

Truck camper... designed for Recreation, anywhere... anytime.

Look at the truck camper owners travel logs and pictures.

Its like living in a one room house, ala the truck camper. If you prefer 2 or more rooms in your house, go with the TT. Plus you can have room for 4 or 6 people. I relate to truck campers as living in a telephone booth, as they are much smaller than any room in your average house.

Absolutely every kind of RV has its good and bad points. Preferences of other people should have no bearing on what YOU have. Get the kind of RV that best meets YOUR needs and wants. We had TCs for over 20 years but no more because the climb into and out of the cabover bed caused grief to DW's hip.

Then what are you doing hanging out on a TC forum?

House trailers ... and trailer parks, UGG!
