From time to time I hear a clunking sound from the front suspension of my '06 Jayco Seneca C5500. Repalced the stock shocks with Koni FSD shocks but the sound is still there. It does not happen 100% of the time just ocassionally. Has anyone else had this problem? Is something loose, or is it the way the suspension is designed.

While a different vehicle my Blazer did this when I first got it with 102K miles on it but after I had it greased it stopped at once and has not returned.

Mine also does it, seems its the front spring (can`t quite remember the technical term ) unloading. Noise on mine is only at very low speeds and usually going over a bump while turning. Very common on this chassis.

Yep, mine does the same thing at low speeds over bumps and while turning also. I wish there was a way to fix this, but if that's normal, then it's good to know.

Mine too. Annoying but hopefully harmless. There is comfort in numbers.

Seneca 35GS, If you are feeling more of a feedback (clunking)thru your steering wheel and into your hands, and not actually a loud noise, it is very likely your steering shaft. It is a VERY common problem on the Chevy heavy duty's and all of mine have done it at one time of another and I have owned nine or ten of them. It could also be a drag link (do a search) as well that is a little loose and also very common. These, as mentioned before, can just simply be regreased and that takes care of the problem usually for a long time. There are aftermarket shafts that take care of the problem permently and I don't think they are too expensive (a company Borgeson makes them I think). I have 8,000 miles on my Host and I am starting to feel it as well (FORD F550) so it may be a very common problem. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul

Our '08 Senneca 36FS does the same thing. The GM dealer found a loose cross member or something of that sort, and after tightening it, the clunk is a bit less but still noticeable, and it drives me crazy. Good to hear I have company .......

Mine too, local truck mechanic said it's common. Nothing worn or broken, just a sound that chassis makes.
