We are heading south within the next few days and would like to caravan with others. We plan on crossing at Nogales and are very flexible about route and destinations. I know this is very short notice but I figure its worth a try. We are a couple(mid 50's)traveling in a 2005 30 ft Itasca gasser with toad.

If no one replies to this thread in time for your trip, I'd suggest checking out the Walmart in Nogales. Many people overnight there before entering Mexico. You may be able to hook up with someone there. Good Luck and enjoy your trip.

Also check the Casino about 5 miles South of Tucson on Hwy 19 and the DeAnza RV Campground in Amado on Hwy 19.

Anyone crossing around New Years Day are welcome to caravan with us if they feel nervous. Done mainland before & my Spanish is adequate. I am still looking for anyone wishing to caravan south from Melaque after Feb 14th, the news from that area makes caravaning sound like a safer option.

On Wed. 4th, we are leaving Tucson through Nogales, Hermosillo for Tastiota. It is a very small village 1/2 way between Kino and San Carlos. We will drop off a bunch of clothes, bedding, dishes, towels to those people. They were nearly wiped out from flooding 6 weeks ago. It is a interesting place to visit. On Thursday, we mossy on down to San Carlos for the weekend.
That may not be far enough to buddy up with but I threw it out in case you don't find somebody to travel with sooner or further. Good Luck

We really appreciate the offer but are itching to go so we are planning on leaving tomorrow. Hope all goes well with your generous gesture helping those poor people.
Thanks,

We have been organizing a clothing and toy drive with friends and people from our church. We'll be in the Kino Bay area the week before Christmas and thought some "new" clothes and/or toys would brighten someone's holiday. This is our first RV trip to Mexico and I'm wondering what they'll say at the border when we bring all that stuff?
You're leaving in a couple of days. Have a great trip!
