The Dunks......How about sharing those Taco soup and my favorite, "Clam Chowder" soup recipes. I am just learning to use a crock pot.

Happy to! Just remember I am not a "from scratch" cook.

Taco Soup

Dump the following into your crock pot, do NOT drain.

2-15 oz cans Pinto Beans
1-4oz can diced green chilies
1-15 oz can whole kernel corn
1-15 oz can diced tomatoes or the Rotel tomatoes

Then add
2 cups of water
1 pkg Taco Seasoning mix -like lawry's
1 pkg Original Ranch dressing

Brown 1 pd of hamburger with one diced onion, drain it and add to pot. Stir well and put on low for about 2- 4 hours or until it is good and hot. Easy Peasy!

Now the Clam Chowder

3-10 3/4 oz cans of cream of potato soup-condensed
2- 10 3/4 oz cans of New England clam chowder -condensed
1/2 cup butter (I melted it in the micro first)
1 small onion diced
1 pint half and half
2-6 1/2 oz cans clams, chopped (I added the juice too)

Combine all ingredients in your crock pot/slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low 2-4 hours.

There you go.

Any tips on frig/freezer use? We do have lots of blue ice.

I freeze soups, stews and things like that in freezer bags. They take up less room that a container.

Sauerkraut with hotdogs and mashed potatoes. Salt pepper and lots of butter!
I put a can of Saurekraut in a sauce pan and add the hotdogs. When the Kraut is hot so are the dogs.
