Lana, Katie is adorable, I'll bet Charlie has been a little lonesome the last two years so this is great for him, she's such a cutie I'll bet he's in love already. Have fun!!!

Thanks to this forum, I can identify a lot more dog breeds than I used to. Just the other day I said, "Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier" to somebody entering the dog park and they were all impressed that I recognized their doggy's breed. Katie is adorable and we really need a picture of her with her big brother, so we can see comparative size. Are the girls smaller when adults or about the same as males? Congrats on the new baby.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Breed Standard
I can't believe how red my couches looks in these pictures. Charlie weighs around 33 to 35 lbs. and Katie is 14 weeks old and I have no idea what her weight is now. Katie's grandfather is Charlie's father. Katie's grandmother is the sister of Charlie's mother. The breeder thinks maybe Katie might be an inch taller than Charlie. I guess in show they can't be over 40 lbs. People think Charlie is small for a wheaten, but he's really not if you look at the breed standards.

I'm kind of sorry we didn't get a puppy for Charlie a year ago. I guess the breeder pushed our buttons. I always stayed in touch with Charlie's breeder, but then I get an emailed from her wondering if we would like a sister for Charlie. It took 5 minutes to answer her back.

Charlie looks HAPPY! We got a puppy for Bella our std poodle when she was a year old. We had other dogs, but they were much older and unable to play. You couldn't have wiped the smile off of her face if you tried. 3 years later they are still best friends :-)

I especially like the photo in the middle of Katie looking up at Charlie. The bottom one is good too - I have tons like that - I always have to resist the urge to get the camera - especially when its all 3.

Awww, the cheek to cheek in the dog bed is cute but just watch! Katie will be kicking him out of there in a couple of months. The picture in the middle is just adorable. Did you send it to the breeder? It took me six years to convince Bud to let us have a second dog. He thought Poquita would have her nose bent if she had competition but that was never the case. I really think in most cases, two dogs are better than one. They do enjoy the company of their own "people."

Congratulations! She's got the sweetest face and such soulful eyes! I love the pic of them together in the doggie bed and she looks very comfortable. It appears you've got a perfect match.

We took Ollie on his first trip and despite only having him for a week he was a little trooper. I do think I see training classes in his future though b/c he's got "springs" in his feet. This boy's a jumper and dare devil.
