We also like it cool at night and keep the thermostat at about 50-55. But we just use a good down comforter on the bed. Love it. And that way, I can still snuggle up to the DW when ever I want.

We bought a Travasak for our married kids to use in the cabover in our Class C. They liked it so well that we bought another for our queen bed. It is very similar to two sleeping bags zipped together, only with sheets velcroed in for comfort. They have a lightweight summer side and a heavier weight winter side.

We love it and used it all summer long and into fall. They are alittle pricey, but will be the last bedding I need to buy for our coach. See them at www.travasak.com

We bought a bag from Big Agnes. It is built for two and very comfortable. Doesn't have the nylon lining, more cloth and it is very warm.

Sleeping bag! Camping in temps ranging from -8° to the 90's, I'd get confused with which bag to take next. I use a 12v mattress pad warmer with a thermostat control. I just dial in the temp I need and sleep like a baby on 400 thread count 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. Also use a light down comforter. For a truck camper, I'm a wuss when it comes to sleep comfort.

I've had this Coleman hybrid bag for several years and it works very well for me.

It sounds like it fits most of your requirements. The liner zips out and can be washed at home and can be converted to a warmer weather bag easily. It arrives in a compact 18" x 8" compression sack but good luck ever getting it back to that same compactness. I have to leave the compression feature unzipped to 18" x 12". It works very well in the over cab bed.

I did not realize so many RVers with beds used sleeping bags?
I am glad to see I am not the only one seeing the advantage.

I bought a couple of bags from Dick's Sportinggoods about 4 years back for tent camping, they are the Dick's brand and are holding up very well, came rated for whatever temp you want and they were around $40 each then. If you don't have a store near you, they are online.

Definatley stay away from "mummy" bags unless you are tiny, or camping in very cold weather.

I'm surprised your RV doesn't cool down more at night. I always record morning inside and outside temperatures. I usually have a 10 deg F difference. The coldest I've seen is 20F outside, 30F inside in my C RV.

I think mummy bags are great. Got two, one for winter (down bag) and one for summer. Unless it's cold, I don't zipper it up. It's just used as a cover. Even when un-zipped, the mummy bag has a nice pocket to keep feet warm.

We use the Eddie Bauer (Coleman) dual temp bags that can be zipped together. Got them at Target.
