It is with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to my son's black hamster, Boris.
I know those little guys don't live very long, but it never amazes me how they can work their way into your hearts. Big or small, little fur-friends make our lives better and fuller in a way I cannot describe.
Although he was only with us for a couple of short years, Boris was a tough little guy who stood up to the cats and made himself part of the family. We thought we lost him last year when he escaped while we were away and presumed lost. He showed up later that night no worse for the ordeal.
Goodbye Boris, we will miss you.
I will miss you.

My condolences to you and your son on the loss of Boris. I had small pets as a young person, and know too well that two years is more than enough time to get very very attached. But it sounds like he lived a full and adventurous life and was well loved, and what more can any of us ask for, really?

Sorry to hear of the loss of Boris. My son had a hampster named Chippie and when he died, I cried for 3 days. He was so precious and loved when we had parties. He entertained all the guest. They touch everyone's heart. Wonderful part of God's creation.

Having had Hampsters, Guinea Pigs, Gerbils, and mice......we understand how the heart goes to them. We're sure that little Boris was a part of your hearts in a matter of days......they do that!!

So sorry to hear about Boris. They certainly can sneak right into our hearts, can't they? Thanks for sharing the picture, he was a handsome boy. Please accept my condolences.

I am so sorry that your beloved Boris is no longer with the family. I think there must be a place at the Rainbow Bridge for these critters too!! They were all created by the same Creator.
