I have a 19' TT that I just bought in June and pulled about 14K miles in 4-1/2 months. I just had it winterized a week or so ago at Camping World (Wheat Ridge, CO) for about $122 upon returning to Denver. I too MAY be using mine through the winter and asked the same question you did regarding it being ok to travel with the antifreeze in all the lines. I was told that as long as I did not use ANY water in the system, i.e. shower, toilet, sinks, that I could use the unit as much as I wanted. However, if you do decide to use the water, they told me that I do NOT want to run the antifreeze through the water heater. Mine has a water heater bypass so, when I turn the water back on and flush the system, it will not go through the water heater (which is good). Once flushed, I switch all of the valves to allow the clean water to once again fun through the water heater. I'd check your manual or call the nearest Camping World or RV center. I found CW here in Denver (Wheat Ridge, CO) to be quite helpful...UNLIKE the CW in Colorado Springs, CO. Have a great trip!!

If I go ahead and winterize everything, how much water needs to be run through the lines if I decide to use the water system in December.

Until you see nothing but clear water coming out of each faucet.

This stuff is non-toxic, so draining it into the sewer isn't an issue.

You could certainly go without using your trailer's plumbing at all. Use gallon jugs of water for brushing and flushing. Your choice.

I go from Northern Cal down to southern Nevada and Quartzite AZ each winter. I don't have a 4 season rig and have had no problems. In QZ one year it was in the high 20's so I left the water (kitchen sink) cracked open with my grey water tank open to sewer to keep water moving. Furnace and an enclosed belly kept pipes/tanks warm.
