DW and I live in North Dakota and thought about exploring neighboring southern Manitoba. I have been doing a bit of research in looking for parks and looking for suggestions. One have I seen is Four Seasons Island near Virden, MB.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi The Weekenders,

I enjoy low cost camping. Try this link:

Manitoba

Be sure to fill up with gas before you cross the border or you will have "sticker shock" at the first gas station in Canada.

We really enjoy camping at Rubber Ducky Resort. (www.rubberduckyresort.com) They are just outside of Winnipeg.

The provincial parks we've stayed at in Manitoba are nice. Adam Lake, just north of the Peace Gardens is the closest to us and our favorite weekend getaway. Free firewood and lots of trees, hiking and mountain biking trails. I can't wait to go up there again next year.

we spend the summer at Spruce Sands and really enjoy it. Lots of out-trips along the lake.
