I have a Shurflo vent fan with the temp controller etc. and I've had NOTHING but problems with it. From day one it is failed. I've replaced the dome twice due to operational issues and/or breaks, now the plastic on the main unit has failed and will no longer hold the arm in place to lift the dome and I have to replace the entire unit. I went to Campingworld and they seem to be pushing Shurflow now and didn't have Fantastic fans on the shelf. Ours is almost 20 years old and they have sent me a replacemnt cover and control over the years at no charge. I have Northern Breeze in my Nash that have never performed correctly. I wish I had the Fantastic Fans and someday I will replace the junk with them. I have had one on my past 2 campers and they have always performed flawlessly... even in the rain. I replaced my bathroom vent with it. I have never had a problem with it. I do have a MaxAir vent cover on it, the kind that turns down. This allows me to always keep the vent open, in rain wind and on the road. I seldom close the Shurflo vent. Ny a single problem. Still works great except the actual case broke that holds the arm to lift the vent cover. The vent cover and related parts has been where the issues have resided. I like the fact that you can run the shurflo comfort breeze with the lid shut to act like a ceiling fan, it did a nice job of moving the hot air from the furnace around the camper on the last couple times I used it. It also has a variable twist speed knob vs 3 pre-set speeds like the fantastic fan. So far, its a draw for me, the shurflo has a few extras that are nice, but they both move the air . The run with lid closed circulating feature was why I bought a shurflo for the second vent. I have roof vent covers over all my roof vents.
