I wish I would have saw this when I got my trailer back. Every single bulb was gone. Inside and out. I went the cheap way out to get things up and running again. I'll look into these. Thanks for info Derwud ;-)

Even though cost is a major issue, it is hard to argue with someone that has learned the hard way what would work the best overall. Thanks Derwud for your efforts.

Not a problem, now can a brother get a LED relief fund going to recover some dough for Christmas...

I went this route too: (link was also posted above)

Their brightness is comparable to the 1141 they replaced and I have been happy with them over the 4 months or so I have had them in use.

Funny, it it's only a couple dollars less (after you add in shipping), and I can't find anything about a warranty.. The Rigid light comes with a 3 year warranty.

Derwud - not sure if you have seen this post by LAdams. He used bulbs from command electronics. Really same price, but he is pleased with light output and color. Are these one of the junk ones you tried before the rigid?

Nope never saw those.. They bring up a good point, the killer for these bulbs seems to be the 13 - 14 volts that they see when your trailer is plugged in or generator is on.. So far no problems with the Rigid lights!

Thanks for all the trial and error on this to save the rest of us time and $$$$. I just ordered six of these for the BIL and myself for Christmas. I have one question for you. Will this light work for the outside porch light or would you recommend something different for that application?

Thanks
Griz

Well, I got 4 of these lights for my Dad to use in his Moho and just got back from a 2 week trip to the Sierras and he was VERY pleased with the lights. He was able to go the whole time only having to here the Genny for the Microwave and the Coffee maker! Never had to charge the batteries... He has ordered 4 more!!!

I have had some good luck with the lights from www.led4rv.com

I have a problem with one of the lights I bought and they sent shipping label. And they have free shipping and some of the best prices I've seen.

This strip works great and they have a video that shows how to install it.

What is really cool, I did not have to replace my 12 volt fluorescent light with one that did not match the others. I just took the guts out of the bad light and instlled these strips.

Real easy and way cool,
