I'm impressed with the side by side photo, hard to tell a difference. Being that I would need to swap out 14 bulbs I think I'll hold off for a price drop. Good to know somebody finally got it right though.

i'm new to LED discussions...
i understand you swapped out full light fixtures in your attempt to find just the right one. But this one... the one that works... it's just a bulb that goes into the standard fixture that came in the camper, right?
The web site talks about halogens... our camper doesn't have halogens, is there any chance these might still work (i realize the answer is probably no)?

I just started with the the cabin main lights, and will do the secondary lights later. The bathroom lights are next...

The one that works is just a replacement bulb.. They are rated at 3 watt draw or 1/4 of an amp.. compared to 1 amp for standard lights. So I can have 4 lights on for every one standard bulb..

Derwud - Thanks for sharing the info! I recently upgraded to two 6v batteries ($200 with the new battery boxes) so that I can keep a light running at night while we are out at the fire. I have a cockatoo who is afraid of the dark (silly as that may sound) and is very calm when the lights are on. But in the winter it gets dark at 5 and keeping the lights on for 5-7 hours was killing the batteries. So they are way cheaper than the battery upgrade!
Good job with the pics, I can't tell the difference between the sides on each light. And your wife was right, that other one was way too blue!
I'll be ordering 2 and replacing one side of each main cabin light knowing that I can run them with 1/4 the impact to the battery (or 4 times longer).
Don't take life too seriously, it's not permanent.

How do I set my preference to see the pictures. All I get is this notice.
" * image not shown due to your preference setting "
I would love to see how they work.

Only time will tell if the LED Bulbs have sufficient heat dissipation/dispersion to give them a decent service life. Semiconductor devices do not like HEAT.

I have six 6v batteries, I wonder how long I could leave all of my lights on inside. As it is I have two Scene lights (like on an ambulance) mounted under my awing(they light up about 50yds)we can leave them on for over six hours with no problem.
Thank you for the great pics and the link. I guess I will get a couple of pair of these lights.
