I think "AS IS" is the term. Most dealers don't work on diesels as that job is handled by CAT or Cummins.

Restoring,,, is it an antique, been burned out, wrecked? Do they own it or are they selling it on consignment.

Depends, what color is the sky where you live?

In other words, be more specific in your question. Did they wereck oours and have to get it back to original? Are they selling a ued unit and you want to know what ought to be done? We can all gues at possible questions to answer, might be entertaining, but probably won't give you what you are seeking.

I think I got my answer from the Texan. More or less what I thought. The unit is not wreck, it is not burned out, it has some gloitches. I won t know for sure until I take it to Spartan Chassis in Charlotte, Mi. I plan to do that soon. No responsibility and As Is seem to be the Key workds here.

Many states have laws protecting the consumers. Items like emissions and brakes are covered. You would have to check with your states consumer protection division normally in the attorney general's office.

Depends are where (State) the dealer is located. If retailed, he may be responsible for ensuring it meets State Safety and Emission laws. Other than that, it is AS IS. It is ALWAYS up to the Buyer to check and verify anything the buyer is concerned about and NEVER rely on verbal promises. Doug
