Hi Pops,
My heart just skipped a beat!! When you wrote that Calvin likes it, I thought that you were talking about Poi!!! Whew, you had me going for a second. So, he likes his new 50/50 mixture. And, I am with you, I sure hope that this new food helps him.
I still have not found the perfect solution for our girls. Sometimes I see them scratching in unison! The other night it was right paws to the chins and no misstep in beat either! I have changed foods so often that I had to make the decision to stick with what we have which is Wellness Core. Every time Kevin goes to purchase Wellness they have a new no grain formula and always more expensive!
So, your Ma makes Poi with milk and sugar. That sounds like grits to me. While in Hawaii, I did try Poi with roast pig at one of those Luaus. You know, the “tourist trap” kind. Still was not impressed with Poi, but since you stated that it is so good for you, I have considered giving it a try. I kind of giggled when you called it “stuff”. Is that telling me something and do you buy it ready made?
As for your other poo poo question, our girls sometimes get excited when they see the motorhome and know that we are headed out on a trip. We always walk them before we load them in the coach. Even if they just went in the yard. I think that it is natural for them when they get too excited.
Well, I will let ya all go out on patrol. Have a great evening.
Regards,
Dawn

All Poi is, is mashed/pounded up Taro Root, like for instance mash potatoes or Mochi is mashed up rice.

Two things for the Pet Stop crew (Well one thing and a question)…
1) Good sign, it’s been 5 days since Calvin’s been on the Duck and Potato Diet and has not been itching…
2) I’m in a dilemma, when we’re playing ball. Both Harlee and Calvin will not release the balls, unless I tell them it’s time to go inside.
When I open the door to the rig, Harlee will release her ball at the foot of the steps. After which, I’ll move over to the storage bay (where the box which I store both their balls is located) then Calvin will release his ball.
Now they still want to play ball, but will not release the ball till I do the above….
How in the heck do I teach them to release the ball so we can continue playing fetch? ?
Now mind you, that your talking to Pops. So please keep it simple, in order that I don’t blow a gasket…

Pops - you might try teaching the "drop it" command. Start by offering them a high value treat in exchange for dropping the ball. When I say high value, something like a small piece of cheese or a small piece of the Natural Balance Dog Food Rolls (we call it Doggie Crack at our house!) Once they drop the ball and eat their treat, have them sit so you can throw it again. We are working on this with our two youngin's and they do pretty well with it, but when Jack gets tired he will either go drop his ball in the water dish or go lay down with it and squeak it at us.

Harlee's Crash Landing;
Harlee sure gave me a freight this afternoon. When she exit’s the Jeep, she usually places her feet at the lower part of the door (?) then jumps down.
This time she decided to jump straight off of the seat, crashing head fist into the ground. Talk about a heart stopper…sheez
Now I gatta watch her, maybe even carry her Highness out of the Jeep.
These guys don’t want to give me a break….
Pops
PS A short funny story. One of the Supervisors has a future telling 8 ball (you know the one that you ask a question, shake it, then look at the bottom window for your answer) on his desk.
Anyways, I asked it if I was going to win the Lottery. The 8 ball answer was, YES.
So I purchase a ticket, and you got it, I won…...A Whole Dollar…LOL

Hi Pops,
Well, it looks like you are in the Money Now! Maybe when you leave that site, you should take the 8 ball with you. Then when it says yes, you can purchase even more dollar winning lotto tickets! Oh, by the way how much did that $ winning ticket cost???
Dawn
Poor little ole Harlee. I am so glad that she did not hurt herself badly. Besides, giving you a heart attack!

Thank Heavens Harlee’s OK, but man did she give me a scare.
In regards to the Lotto, I purchased 5, one dollar quick picks and one, one dollar ticket where I picked my own numbers.
So, it's nothing new when it comes to Pops having to spend six bucks to make a dollar…
It’s no wonder I’m always broke…LOL

Yikes, Harlee had a "puppy moment!" We all forget how old we are from time to time. I'm betting she won't do that again anytime soon.
