Just returned from the trip to Nunavut and our son's wedding. This is a picture of the happy couple after the ceremony that took place on a small island 45 mins up the coast from Iqaluit.

Iqaluit used to be called Frobisher Bay and is situated on Baffin Island in the territory of Nunavut (2,087 miles north of Ottawa, Ontario. While we were there the average day had 20 hours of sunshine and it really never got dark. The other side of the coin is that it is only daylight for 3 1/2 hours on Christmas Day

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing these interesting photo's with us.

Will the newlyweds be living "up there"? I hope you go back often and keep us with you on your journey through the coming years.

What a neat experience for all of you.

I don't think that I would want to drive over that bridge. It looks like grass growing on the roadway and defiantly a tree growing on the bridge!

The bride (Allasua) was born and raised on Baffin Island, the Groom (Mat) went there 16 years ago with my wife. He stayed when my wife's contract ended and loves it there.
