It is just another used car and trying to advertise to those in need of a towable vehicle would severely limit your audience. I personally would be suspicious of mileage posted on odometer if I knew it was a Dinghy.

I traded a Jeep on another Jeep and the dealer removed the Tow brackets because they raised too many questions by potential buyers.

Just an opinion.

Well, After reading all the posts about this subject, I am going to list my Jeep on Craigs list and EBay. I will post if I get any action on either site.

However, would I be better off to list my tow bar and Silent Partner Brake Controller seperate? Thanks for all the input.

I just sold my Suzuki Samurai toad on cragslist. It took 2 days. I was amazed!

I tried to find toads on craigslist, but could not find anything. What did you list yours under?

Well, I listed my jeep with tow gear, on Hitchtrader, Ebay and Craigs list last week. So far...

one response on Hitchtrader and no offers.
No response and no offers on Craiglist(Atlanta)
Several responses and two offers on Ebay.(not met reserve yet)

I will post updates as they happen, in case anyone is interested. Thanks.

sesco, how did you do on the Jeep?

I need to sell my (almost new, ready-to-tow 2008) Chevy HHR. I listed it on Escapees and the local Craigslist a few days ago, no response to either yet. Do you think Ebay is the way to go?

Thanks!

There has to be other venues where vehicles equipped to be towed can be listed.

I sold my dinghy to a fellow forum member. After reading a thread in which he mentioned he was looking for a new dinghy, I sent him a one-line private message, asking him to email me if he had any interest in a 2008 HHR. He responded to that message immediately, and we consummated the sale within a couple of days. Previous to that, I'd had three other members contact me via PM to express their interest when I mentioned in another thread that I was buying a new dinghy and would be selling the HHR.

While I understand that we're not supposed to place ads on the forum, it would be nice to have a sticky thread that would at least allow members to simply announce that they are interested in buying or selling a dinghy. Other members could then respond by private message, without (I would hope) violating the rules of the forum.
