RE: RV Faucet problem

Sounds like an issue with some ice expansion?
I just turned on my outside sprinkler system and had multiple geysers.

RE: Thumbs DOWN on one of the BIG THREE CGs @ MB

Sorry I can't agree with you wifes actions...
Either you give the wallet to the store owner, contents intact or keep the wallet and notify the store owner you have it and she can reclaim it directly from her.
Let me add something here, it's nice to know your wife has such a strong sense of whom she can and cannot trust, just by looking at them....there should be more people like that, maybe we wouldn't need a court system.
Second your constant use of derogatory words like Rent-A-Cop, Goon, Marshall Dillon to describe someone who is just doing a boring thankless job (probably a second job at that, to make ends meet) a little disturbing.

RE: RV 2010

And what about the #1 accessory, I almost laughed my beer through my nose when I saw that mini trailer entertainment system.
I'll bet they will sell a whole bunch of those.

RE: Protect All or 303?

I never wax anything on my fiver, life is too short.
I do spray 303 protectant on the roof and sides of the trailer every 6 months or so and wipe it around with a towel to stop it from dripping...Dirt and grime never gets a hold anywhere, any rain will get "most" of the dirt off. Of course, it never looks like it just came out of the factory but that's OK.

RE: Fort DeSoto Park Site Recommendation

Not the greatest place to swim, we have stayed at the doggie section probably over a 100 nights over the last few years. The water there is muddy and full of sea grass when you go out a bit, very shallow as well.
Just a few minutes from the campground is Ft. Desoto beach, now there is a place you can swim.
And if you have dogs...go to the dog section at the beach it's a great spot to let your dog off lead and let him run around with their buddies.

RE: Hot water tank anode rod ???

My big 4 lug X shaped tire iron works great for getting the anode in and out. Plenty of leverage with that bad boy, if you have access room.

RE: crankout vs rollout awning?

Boy do I miss the crank out awning on my Northstar Laredo, my present 5th wheel has a pull out awning that's a royal pain in the ass to use.
Would never own that style again.

RE: Outside shower enclosures

When I come back from a run I head straight for the outside shower and just wash up with my running shorts on, if I feel like just taking a shower during the day to cool off I wear my nylon swim trunks, they dry in a minutes.
For me it's not worth putting up a mini tent or other complicated enclosure, if my neighbors get offended at looking at me showering thats their problem.

RE: 2005 KZ Durango brochure?

Hey again everyone. Does anyone have a 2005 KZ Durango brochure they can send or post up? Going to go look at one tomorrow and think we're down to either the 2004 Wildcat or the 2005 Durango. Really need a brochure to help us know what the Durango comes with standard and optional to compare with the Wildcat offering.
Can find recent year brochures but haven't located any for older like the 2005.
Thanks,
Andy
Andy,
Don't forget about the Wayback Machine, it shows you archived web sites by year, just select the year you want then the site, and up pops that web site as it appeared way back when.
So in your case select the KZ Durango web site and the year.

RE: Offroad/Ruggedized/4-Season TC

Yes. The first production XP camper should be finished within the next couple of months.

I think that's what they said two years ago!
Personally I think they figured out what the true total cost of building one was and how narrow a customer base they would have and are sitting on things till the economy improves, which may be a very long wait.

RE: Honda 2000i Carb Job With Photos Must Read!!!!!

I don't care for these well written technical write ups, sorry.
At least before I read this thread I had an excuse for not cleaning out my Honda carb, now I feel bad every time I run the genny with the choke slid half way over to keep it running.

I kinda like that small fifth wheel on the flatbed, put some jacks on it and it's not too bad.

RE: Drain Tubes under RV?

Remember if your blowing out your lines as opposed to using blue stuff don't forget to pour some antifreeze into the sink/bathroom drains to keep the elbows from bursting.

RE: Edisto Beach State Park, SC

Love Edisto, that's why we go camping to get away from it all.
As far as the water goes, my wife and I are fussy and ALWAYS bring a number of gallon sized Gatorade bottles filled with good old home town water for coffee, tea and cooking. The bottles have a great flexible nylon handle on them by the way. No amount of filtering will clear up some of the CG's water we have tried drinking.
No Walmart's near by ! that's a blessing.

RE: NO PROPANE ON DOOR SIDE

Make sure the "secondary" tank has a regulator attached, from what i have heard the setups that don't may have problems.
And always open the just filled tanks valve slowly so you don't overwhelm the master regulator and put it into shutdown mode.

RE: Rear kitchen

My Cougar 245RKS runs pretty smooth down the road. The only thing that been disturbed during our travels has been some food in the fridge, the trick there is just to pack it full. That's why god made beer.

RE: campground reservations

We just returned from Fort Desoto and found that HALF the sites (at least in the doggie section) were empty.
And we too booked 6 months in advance and felt lucky to get the site we did.
Just for giggles, while we were there I would go online and check the reservation system and found that all those empty sites were booked. I guess people have money to burn.

RE: RV superstore

On a trip down to Florida our Cougar 5th wheel decided it wasn't too thrilled about the trip and decided to blow apart it's drivers side rear spring pack.
This happened just outside Charleston and it just so happened that there was a Camping World nearby so after some creative roadside repairs we limped into the service department. They went out of their way to fit us into their service schedule and got us on our way, took care of all the warranty stuff, no charge.
So I know of at least one CW with a good service department.
