RE: How fast do you tow?

I look at it like this; I'm on vacation, my family and I want to have a safe trip, and for the most part, the road is big enough for others to pass.

RE: Waxing exterior

Last year I tried Liqued Ice car wax. I love the idea that it is clear; which is a help on black moldings. It seems to last about 5-6 weeks. I just wish they made a longer lasting wax!

RE: How do I add Good Sams to my left margin?

I too would like to have my Good Sam icon show on the left :) Been a member since September '09. :)
You need to make sure your Good Sam account and your RV.Net account have the same email address. Every time a member logs on, the software checks those two databases and sets a display-logo flag if the two addresses are the same.
Tom
Got it... I was going through Woodalls, just did rv.net and now it shows.

RE: Good Sams membership???

I have been a AAA member since 2000 and have never once used their service, it is for piece of mind. But I feel like clobbering myself in the head for the $60 dues I have paid each year.
For GS, I enjoy the monthly magazine but haven't had the need for a campground discount. Since I joined in September, I will see how it works over the summer before I decided if I want to renew.
Does GS still offer life memberships?

RE: Picture posting thread...anyone into it?

This is from our latest trip to Disneyworld. I think I really lucked out with such an awesome picture.

This is the first egg hatched on December 25th from our chickens. A new hobby I started over the summer.

RE: full page doesn't show

Yes, I am viewing through Good Sam. Thanks for the option. Perhaps my lack of research or computer skills.
...That fixed it, Just going to reset my bookmarks. Thank you all!

RE: Hybrids and Minivans

I have no problem with my '04 Kia Sedona and 17' Palomino. I just forget to turn off overdrive on hills and get yelled at by wife for the engine reving to much.
Sorry, no pictures. :(

full page doesn't show

Every topic I read is cut off at the bottom. I am missing the bottom of pictures and messages. If I move on to page two (if there is a page two) the post doesn't continue. It move on to a new post on page 2.
What am I needing to adjust to get each full length topic post page?
Thank you :)

RE: Palomino S17

We've only owned our 2009 17' Palomino since August '09... It is stored outside uncovered in Ohio's climate. I do a check weekly, but haven't noticed any leaks. Although the ends are closed up now. I do get a leak from the shower. I used caulking between the tub top and the wall. Hopefully that will stop water leakage.

RE: dumb roo questions

Ok, I've never heard of a Roo RV. I noticed Rockwood makes them. Are they from Austrailia or something. A friend of mine just got back from a month in Australia and said Roos are thick down there. He even called one a wuzzaroo. I asked, "what's a wuzzaroo?" He said, "That's a roo that got hit by a car mate."
Anyway, is a Roo a model name or style of unit?
Wuzzaroo... That was cute.

RE: Cooking and Baking with a Conventional Oven in a 23B

An oven was part of the package on our 17' Palomino... I enjoy the microwave more. Also have a 3 burner range. Haven't used the oven for any good meals yet.

RE: Water Tank Anode

? Which one should be used; magnesium or aluminum? or will I know which one when I pull the old on out? (by replacing with an identical).
From the Suburban Web Site;
All Suburban water heaters are protected by a magnesium or aluminum anode to prolong the life of the tank. Under normal use, the anode rod will deteriorate. Because of this, we recommend it be replaced annually or when consumption or weight loss of the rod is greater than 75%. Note: Water with high levels of iron and/or sulfate will increase the rate of deterioration. To extend anode life, drain water from tank whenever the RV is not being used. Avoid any extended time of non-use with water in the tank.

Why do I need a cover?

I am sure the reasons are there, but I am wondering why a camper cover would be important. I do live in Ohio with a 2009 Palomino Stampede s17. So, what are my reasons for coverage during winter...
1. Does it protect the rubber roofing? Does ice/snow make it more vulnerable to cracking?
2. ??????
Thanks for any input. :)

RE: Using the Hybrid in Winter

FHU's? (i'm new)... Which OH state parks have you noticed opened with the heated showers?
Thanks! :)
Well, looks like we are going to try four season camping! I just discovered that most Ohio State Park CG's are open year round, that many of them keep the heated shower houses open all year too. The even bigger suprise (to me) is that some of them have FHU's!
We have heated mattresses, I ordered the PUGS this week and will get the reflectix today. We have an oil radiator heater and furnace in the Roo, looks like we're good to go.

RE: Single vs dual axle

With some improved tire technology, except for cost, there are run-flat tires available.
