RE: AC Unit leaking inside

Guys I got up on the roof and took the top off. cleaned the drain holes out but it didnt seem to make alot of difference. There is a drain on both sides of the condinsor that drains through holes in the pan. It drains under the pan not out of it. Do you think it might be the gasket lettin it in?? Its a duo therm.

RE: Does anyone carry a CAR??

Thanks guys and gals I know what to look for now. It don't sound like a good idea but it was only an Idea. I don't care to buy a VW I like them anyway, but I better see what the Mfg thinks about this. I can afford a expensive MH but don't see any reason for it. If I spend 200M it won't be on a vehicle. Thanks alot Patt

Turn sig, brake lights, right blinker problems

Hello fellow RVers My friend has a class A, Valencia by thor Ind. His plug that he hooks his car too lost most of its power. Only one blinker works. We checked all the fuses we could find and they are all good, but none of them say tailights, blinkers or etc. Do these things run off fuses or relays?. If its a relay how do you check to see if they are bad?. If you have any ideas please let us know. Their must be a panel we're not finding. Thanks everyone.

RE: Ford V-10 Engines (Your Opinions please)

Thanks everyone for your advice. I feel if you get a newer v10 you will probably be ok. This unit only has 14000 miles so its pretty new. I am a person that really takes care of an engine. Service will be alot cheaper on a gas than a diesel. Thats attractive as well. Thanks again, the advice was great. Love this site.......

Ford V-10 Engines (Your Opinions please)

I have found a heck of a deal on a 2004 Class A but it has a V10 ford engine. If you have one I would like your opinion of its performance, pulling power and such. Will it tow a car? I wanted a diesel pusher but cant really afford a newer one and am afread of a older one. Give me your thoughts on this.........Thanks

RE: Motorhome Park @ Peigeon Forge, TN

Riversedge rv park is very nice also. The best bathouses i've ever seen. I usually stayed at Claybaughs cg on 321. Its really just off the strip and easy to get too. It also has a trolly stop in front you can ride to Dollywood. Not so fancy but Eagles Nest is a quiet cg with lots of shade, pool and big sites. Good luck and enjoy the smokies. Go to Cades Cove for sure. Its the earliest settlement in the Smokies. 11mile trip with cabins and stores and lots of wildlife.

RE: Best Beach Side Campgrounds

In Florida you have a good cg in Destin at Camping on the gulf, The next town over toward Pennnsacola has a good one. You have a state park in Panama Cty on the water. Also in Ft. Myers the Red Coconut cg is right on the sand. If you like walking in sand all the time. So Carolina has a park called Pirates Cove in Myrtle beach is right on the water.

RE: THE BEST LOCATIONS FOR WORKAMPING

Workamping has been alot of fun for us. You will meet people you will love and a few that will lie from the get go. Always get it in writing what you will be doing and pay, hours, and site and possible bonus. Its not rock solid but at least you know what is expected of you and them as well. I've been to the Smokie Mnts, The Chesapeake bay area, and Tenn. and Florida. I plan to go west in the summer. We like our life and stay in touch with alot of people we have met along the way. Winter spots will be hard to get. Everyone wants them. Summer jobs are pretty easy in the upper states. Workamper and Koa are two good sources. Good luck and enjoy. Don't wait do it NOW.....

Brake Adjusting on a 5er

I need to adjust the new brakes I put on the 5er and would like your advice to do this. Do you adjust them till they are tight then back off? how far?? They stop when I hit the brakes but the brake control is all the way up. Give me your knowledge on this. I guess I could have a tech do it but I would have to unhook and all that. Thanks

RE: HONDA Vs CHAMPION GENERATORS

Thanks to everyone for your advice on generators. I am a full time rver and I think I better go Honda. I will be in National Parks alot and want as quiet as I possibley can bee. I just heard the Champion was good. It seems to be a good product but I am concerned about noise and the Inverter is important too I think. It will cost more but with your input I think the Honda will make me happier. Thanks guys I figured you usually get what you pay for. Patt

HONDA Vs CHAMPION GENERATORS

I want to buy a generator for my 5er. I know Honda is great but I have heard alot about the Champion generator. I looked at it and it has a 10db higher sound than Honda. I would need a 3000 model in either one. Honda is 1500. and Champion is 399. Give me some input on this please. Especially if you own one....Thanks

RE: Brake Question

Thanks guys. I have 2 wires on the right wheels and 4 wires on the left wheels. The extra two wires must be crossover wires right??. The guy that was doing the work for me left me hangin on this job. Should have done it myself to start but didn't. Back problems. Jerryspoonman, did you adjust the brakes from behind the hub or did you have to pull the drum again. The guy told me they self adjusted. I've adjusted brakes on trucks. Probably the same way right??. Thanks alot

Brake Question

I am putting new brakes on my 5er. I put the complete package on and all I have to do is new seals and pack the bearings. My question is the two wires to the magnet. They are both black. Does it matter which wire goes to which?? I guess I could raise the camper and see if they work? I've been told it doesn't matter. Any comments will be welcome.....Thanks Loads

RE: Body Panel Solution needed

Thanks guys I have to replace the panel because its getting out of shape and wrinkling at the end where it connects to the inner down panel with the door. The whole problem stemed from not having support at the camper end of the panel. I looked up into it and there is a wooden 2x6 there for the support piece. Poor workmanship. I like the Idea of the Aluminum panel it would look great but can I find it in a solid sheet this size??. I could piece it but it wouldn't look as good. I plan to take it all down and support it the way you guys suggested. What do you think?? Its a Crossroads Paradise Pointe by the way....
