We stayed at beautiful Mazama last year for a week in early October. No bug problem at all. I recommend Mazama. Very large sites. Water only.

If U don't need electric, the best real woodsy camping is 'Crane Flats' inside the PARK. No reservations. If can't get in there...a few miles west, down the road to 'Hetch-Hetchy' reservoir are 2 campgrounds. Don't miss Hetch-Hetchy side trip anyways.

We went up there a few years ago. Than we could drive to the parking lot and walk the 40 minutes up to the lookout tower which is another little hike in itself. It was fogged in...couldn't see past 1/2 mile. All the trees were dead up there. ???

We've been with State Farm for 25 years. Never filed a claim. Not even Huricanes. All our coverage for 2 cars, the Motorhome and also the home is with them. We received our notice of "Non-Renewability" here in S.Florida. Now looking for a new company. :M

Get a TOAD!!!! Never...never never stay in the valley. Its just wall to wall people & cars. I recommend Crane Flats or Wawona. Both water only, but great camping fairly close to the valley. If U MUST drive an RV down into the valley...be ready for a VERY narrow, curving roadway.

I had a 454 in my Itasca Class'A'. I thought for 14 years I could 'Fix it'. Never could keep up with the 454 problems. DON'T GET A Chevy 454 !!!!!

Hi all. We live in Miami, Fl. Just returned from DisneyWorld down
Rt 27. Seems most of the RV parks are only half full. Some ar almost empty! Where is everyone this year?

Ft.Wilderness-Campfires ??
Going to Disneyworld and staying at Ft.Wilderness RV park next week. We'll be in the 'Pet' loop. Do they allow campfires at each site?
If not that...do they allow a fire in a small, mobile, screen enclosed fireplace w/lid, on wheels?

RE: Camping in Curry Hammock (Keys)
Very nice, small campground. Fairly new. Great baths/showers. Very large, paved backin sites. Some waterfront. All with ocean views. NO shade. Not too good for swimming. Sand is kinda sand/muck mix. and very shallow to about 1/4 mile out. Main thing to do is fish and rent Kayak around the island(yes Island)thru mangrove tunnel. Very neat.

We have the 2006 SurfSide 34' on the Ford F53 chassis(362HP/5 Speed Tranny). Just finished a 8300 mile trip from Miami, Fl. to Seattle, Wa. with no problems. We love it. Our 6th RV and the best by far.
