RE: Sunbrela RV covers

I live in the FL Keys, right on the ocean, and have extensive experience with Sunbrella for my boats and RV. This is a great fabric. My covers usually last 7-9 years under intense sun and salt.

RE: Water Softners

I'm using the Mark 8000 and love it. It's simple to recharge and I've got mine filtering my entire coach. I sue a sediment filter in front of it and a chlorine and taste filter behind it. I get great water now and use this to fill my water tank too!

RE: Kings Kamp - Key Largo

Mostly permanent residents using it as inexpensive housing. There is a nice transient section near/on the water, but it usually is full in the winter. Read the rules on their website and you'll get a good idea of the type of campground this is. Not a bad place as long as you know going in what you're getting.

RE: Steel Valve Stems on TOAD with PressurePro TPMS

I made a very costly mistake by not switching to metal valve stems. After 9 months on rubber valve stems (that were only a year old), the weight of the sensor cracked the stem wide open while going 75 MPH (not behind my MH).
The sudden loss of air pressure caused a rapid flat that was not detected until too late by the TPMS. I ten checked the other stems and all had the beginnings of a crack.
It cost me a new tire, and a new front quarter panel and paint. I wish I had spent the $60 for the metal vale stems earlier. Now I know......

RE: chevy malibu brake wiring question

I got around this by running a separate wire direct to the battery.

RE: Memory foam v/s sleep number mattresses

We've got a memory foam mattress in the house. Got a Sleep Number mattress with the new RV.
After a year of trying to get used to it, I'm replacing the sleep number. Just couldn't ever get it as comfortable as the memory foam.

RE: Stick House - On-demand Water Heater

I converted a 40 gallon electric tank to a whole house electric tankless two years ago. I also added a water softener to help keep the heater from clogging.
Net result - $20-$30 a month saving in the electric bill, never run out of hot water even with two showers and the dishwasher going at the same time. Water bill also went down slightly. Payback should be in about 3 years money wise.

RE: luxury cars

I tow my 2005 Cadillac SRX crossover with no issues. We use a Remco transmission pump and all has been well.
