lol sorry bout the caps...Mlh louisana would be fun, and you do have a good football team prob super bowl bound. I forgot how a good football is suppose to play.I do get it that its not a big deal to take it, so im gonna go ahead and take it mite as well use it when i can. Roads will be dry and just a bit of salt on the roads and will clean it up when i get back. Thank you for eveyones input, i have def. learned alot on this forum.. andy
Oh one more thing, my tt is winterized is it ok to use toliet( just the yellow stuff) for the girls and flush with antifreeze?

i agree with all the posts. It seems to be a bad idea. But it has rained the last 2 days and washed the salt away but more snow is forecasted. The rv lot is pressed stone so no mud. But on the other hand i dont want to deal with the undercarrage rusting and corroding. Even if i washed it after words it will freeze up and that could be more issues. Ahh the joys of owning a rv in buffalo ny..

what everyone said above. I wanted to go with the jayco 26bh had great floorplan but didnt have enough tough vehicle for it, so i went with the 23fb. Jayco makes great products and cant go wrong with them. Also jayco has a 2 year warranty which is nice.

Towing w/ snow & salt ??
i RECENTLY PURCHASED MY 2010 JAYCO 23FB A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AND USED IT A FEW TIMES. NOW I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE IT TO THE BUFFALO BILLS GAME THIS SUNDAY. QUESTION BEING IT WILL BE ABOUT 25 DEGREES OUT AND SOME SNOW FORECASTED SO WE CAN KEEP WARM. ALSO THERE IS SALT ON THE ROADS FROM RECENT STORMS. WILL THE SALT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS TO THE UNDERNEATH OF THE RIG, AND IS TOWING IN SNOW A ISSUE. OR IS THIS A BAD IDEA, DONT WANT TO RUIN MY NEW RIG.. THANKS ANDY
ALSO WE WILL ONLY USE TOLIET A FEW TIMES AND WASH IT DOWN W THE PINK STUFF.

i have these on my truck, mastercraft courser at2. Good traction, good tread wear and have had no probs in 2 years with them. Good with towing as well.

im towing with an 07 toyota tacoma, which has same towing specs and my trailer has just about same weight specs as well. Tows pretty good on flats and just struggles a bit on hills but not bad, i have had no tranny issues but thats not to say u wont. Im at my max that i would tow with this truck. My trailer loaded with what i need is around 5300 lbs or so and hitch wieght of 700 or so.

greg ive got an 07 tacoma w the tow package as well. I tow the jayco 23fb which dry weight is 4600 and its 26ft. We recently went on a 200 mile camping trip up in allegany mountains. The truck did very well on flat highway but the hills were a bit of a struggle.( still did good tho) but i think this would be the max limit i would tow with this truck. I also had about 600 lbs of gear with us, and u def. need a weight distribution hitch setup which is another 100 lbs. Pack very light.

pyrate, ive got some upgrades done, like a flowmaster exhaust, air filter, and rear spring upgrades. The big test will come this weekend when we go to pennsylvania for a weekend trip, some decent hills and about 80 miles one way. I also run 93 octane gas to help alittle..

well finally got my 23 fb 3 days ago, did tow it home from dealer and next day took it to the bills football game about 30 miles roundtrip. Towed pretty well alittle underpowered at the line but did good overall. Heres a couple of picks.

Kinzua Koa in Pa.
we were planning a 3 day camping weekend to this campground just outside warren pa, near allegany national forest and kinzua dam. Has anyone camped here and if so what did you think. There are very few pics of the place so wanted to get ideas before we booked. Were plannin on goin nov 5th - 8th ..

soren i dont think im wasting anything, im getting a great camper for a great price. My tv may not meet the standards of a full size chevy, ford ect. But im trying to do this all with a midsize in a SAFE manner with the camper i want.. I realize now its gonna be tough towing but i dont have a fullsize sittin on the side to tow with unfortunatly.. Im still trying to get a test tow and it will happen to give me piece of mind....

cliff and diana Its been tough month and half trying to figure out a good tt for this truck. I know of guys with same trucks towing 6000 lbs with no problem and 29 ft tt's but then other guys towing 4000lbs and havin troubles. I dont care for the smaller tt's like 19ft ones just not enough room, this is the only one i like. Im hopin for a good outcome and will def. let you know how it goes..

lobo i asked for a test tow and they said it would take far too long and $$ to do it just to test it with wdh and brake contrll.. They also said this is the first time they have heard of someone wanting to doin this???? They told me my tow rating for the truck is plenty for this tt. I asked to tow it without the wdh hitch and brake controller just get an idea how it would tow, and they told me it would be totally different towing without that stuff, so why bother. So my tt is suppose to come in today or monday so once again i will ask for a test tow. Ive already put a $1000 deposit on it.

thanks for the replies. Im actually getting a 2010 23fb instead of 22fb. Which means alittle more weight(about 400lbs) and some upgrades. This now makes me more nervous because of the comments about my truck struggling with this tt, and white nuckling it. Im hopin its not too bad of a tow.
Soren.. i asked for a test tow but they said it would take too long to hook up brake control and weight dist. hitch. They also said my truck should have NO problem with towing it cause its rated at 6500lbs. BS dealer talk lol. So well have to see if this is gonna work..
