RE: Would you buy a Tundra

"would I buy a Tundra" Yes, I had a 2006 4x4 double cab, and liked it alot, however, I now own a 2008 Dodge 4x4 Diesel 2500 crew cab, and like it. The reason I sold my Tundra was we bought a larger TT and Toyota would have been at its max as far as towing our new trailer. Now the Dodge is not even strained towing our new trailer. It is just a matter for each to decide what your needs are, then chose, if I were not towing a larger trailer, I would be driving a Toyota. Just an old Retired Army guys opinion.

RE: Is there a decent air mattress out there?

here is my .02 worth on airmatress, I dont like them way too cold. When elk hunting in Oregon we tent, and it has been down to 9F well I have found that a good dense foam pad works much better than an airmatress, the foam will block the cold from from you much better. Just my opinion. When in the Army we were issued foam pads and they worked great.

RE: iPOD/iPHONE APP for campers

Just something to consider, I have a iphone 3GS and like it, however, if you want to use it as a replacement for a GPS, it is only as good as your network reception, where as a real GPS works of satlelights not a phone network. But, remember I am not an expert on this topic, these are what I have found with my i-phone.

RE: Fog lights on truck

here is my .02 cents, I run mine all the time. I dont like the auto-on even for normal headlights. I would rather decide myself if I want to turn on lights, thats just me, way to many things are controled for you these days. We should all be capable of knowing when to use the lights LOL

RE: 2006 Toyoya Tundra 4.7

steeljag: I had a 06 Tundra 4x4 double cab, AT. At the time we had a 23' TT unloaded wt- 4400lbs, loaded w/all gear and ready to use wt 5250 lbs, and my tow rating was 6600 lbs. We took it to Yellowstone last year, and the Tundra did a great job even on the steepest hills, however I was still under (1000 lbs) under my max tow rating. We realy liked the Tundra, but we bought a bigger TT so we needed a bigger P/up. I would say if you stayed in level/flat land it would probably work. The only exception would be with your extra weight, it probably would not like towing in OD, where as my lighter trailer, mine would pull in OD ok unless I was fighting a head wind....Just something more to consider.

RE: For Dodge/Cummins fans & owners

howdy all, I now have a 08 Dodge 4x4 6.7. The orginal posters articale sounds great. As I stated I have a 6.7 and so far like it, however there are a lot of complaints about the soot trap, plugging leading to caution lights, from what I have read, the system doge uses dont like slow short trips. Anyway, just want all to know that Dodge system is not entirely trouble free

RE: Running an AC unit

original poster: yes, I have the 2400 gen set same as yours, it will run my 13.5 Brisk Air great. However, it will not run the AC and the micro at the same time, so when cooking/useing the micro I turn off the AC, then when done cooking turn AC back on works for me.
