RE: 2010 Trailer Life Directory CDs

They claim to have information about wats at each exit. Is this like (or as good as) the Next Exit book??

RE: Ever run into fellow posters????

I think we need flags to fly at campgrounds. Especially if they have WiFi at campsites. Maybe Tee shirts with logo and your ID? I bet Good Sams could sell them for twice as much as Walmart.

2010 Trailer Life Directory CDs

Just saw this in one of the sidebar ads. I have an older version, and am not too pleased with it, although it does have some good features. Has anyone tried the new 2010 version, and what do you think about it. is it worth the $39???

RE: Forest Service Cancels Plans to Change Fees

We Done Good. Just proves what we can do when we all get together. Now lets try for a fishing license good in all states. At least free fishing from the bank when registered in a state park.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Traded it in on a new-to-us one. It served us well, with many hours and miles for 5 years. Hope she does as well for someone else, and especially hope the newer one does as well.

RE: Toilet bowl blow back

Get up there with a chair while the show is on! Great view! Just be sure to duck as necessary. BTW, did you see the piece where an airplane hit a man on the beach??

RE: Know any RV related discounts for the over 65 set?

Good for us. That's exactly the reason we deserve discounts. We did, and continue to do our part whenever we are still able and try to help others with our hard-earned experience

RE: New Digital TV Antenna

The heck with the antenna anyway, I'll just use the satellite.

RE: Know any RV related discounts for the over 65 set?

Because we are on fixed-income, and don't get automatic raises and bonuses every year. We deserve the discounts, we deserve them , and I, for one will try to get every senior discount I can get, including senior coffee at Micky Ds!!

RE: Current conditions of Natchez Trace in TN and AL

We stay at Piney Grove each year with the Good Sams chapter. It is one of our favorites, and fairly close to home. Can't beat the price either!

RE: Know any RV related discounts for the over 65 set?

My Golden Age Passport has been one of our best buys ever. However, it seems that the Feds are trying to stick it to usseniors again on this. I don't think anything has passed yet, but they are trying to reduce discount to 10% on some thiongs, and drop it completely in others. Also, more and more facilities are run by contractors, who may or may not honor the cards. Yellowstone for one. Only thing free now is entrance fee. Everything else is contractor run.

RE: TV interference from PC

My laptop (HP) does produce interferance which affects tv reception, showing up a buzzing noise. WiFi is off. Computer location is close to antenna distribution box. Does not matter if laptop is on AC or battery. This not just digital TV. I have not really done any great investigation, and don't plan to t this time.

RE: Current conditions of Natchez Trace in TN and AL

Try Trace State Park. It is out to the West side of Tupelo. On the lake, very nice paved sites, full 50A hookups, at $14 per night it isgreat and quiet.

RE: Current conditions of Natchez Trace in TN and AL

May we suggest to avoid the upper part of the Trace from Nashville to Hwg 412. Take I65 down to Columbia, or 140 over to Dixon, although Hwg 7 from Dixon will still be in the more twisting part. From 412 on down, all should be fine. From Columbia (Our old home) you can take either 43 or 412 to the trace. Have you ever tried Trace State Park at Tupelo?? Probably will need reservations for weekends, but then you can go over to see Elvis homeplace. The park campground is very nice, with full hookups.

RE: New Digital TV Antenna

The wingman does seem to work, according to test, and user comments. I can't use one on the Hurricane, as the batwing comes down next to the AC unit. Wish they could make one that could go on the other side. Without one, We have not had much directionally with the batwing, Best results in weak areas seems to be lowering it about halfway.

RE: Current conditions of Natchez Trace in TN and AL

TeachersPet, We did the Trace last spring, and didn't have any trouble in our Hurricane, but then we a a bit lower. I don't remember any tight places though. When you go back, bue sure to hit "The Old Country Store Resturant" at Lorman, MS. Just about a mile off the Trace, and the best Fried Chicken in the South. And, the owner will sing for you!! BTW, when back in this area, be sure to contact us, we are just a bit from the Trace in Lexington, TN. Are you still doing the rally in Elkhart?? If so, we might try to make it again. If you are going back down the Trace anytime soon, we might be able to travel with you.

RE: Which would be easier to drive?

The biggest difference is that in the class A, you are closer to the center line and that is a bit scary at first. Because of this, many tend to drive too close to the edge of the road. Other than that, handling around curves and general drivin is the same. Really, only the driver position changes. With the class A, get on a road with no traffic, park it with the driver side tires just inside the center line, then from the driver seat, place a bit of tape on the windshield where the center line hits. Then just keep the tape fight on your side of the center line, and the passenger side will take care of itself. You will like the class A a lot better.

RE: ID rear Analog TV coax cables 3001A, 3001B, 3001C

If you have a distribution or switchbox up front, you might check on it. the cables should be plugged into colored jacks, and label at that end.
