RE: Travel I 40 West in December to CA
Last year we brought 40 west, found the road very rough from Little rock , Ar and very rough in Oklahoma especially around Ok City. New Mexico was so rough we cut across country went south..

RE: Who's driven the Alcan Hwy to Alaska?
Just a couple of pictures to hint at what you will see. Take a digital camera with you, you will take too many pictures to get film developed. Go slow so not to miss the wildlife that you will see. This was our trip of a lifetime and we stayed for 3 1/2 months. Enjoy, I only wish I could go again this year.

RE: Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery
My wife and I have volunteered there for the last two summers. The staff is very pleasant and hatchery crew are great to work with. The sites are the best I have ever seen, they are big level, full hookup, even propane at each site.

The first weekend in June they have a kids fishing derby. This year we had 1675 kids. So much fun.

RE: Rig insurance for full timers
We have Nat'l Interstate 4 years. While in Alaska had to have the Aqua hot rebuilt, it sprayed desiel fuel all over the bay. Had to completely rebuild the bay and throw away everything that had desiel on it. Over $18,000 and Interstate paid without a fuss. On the way home got the windshield busted....Nat'l Interstate paid no fuss. This year my policy bill actually went down about $300. And they give me Mexican coverage....$7 a year on the Beaver and $5 a year on the Jeep.
Do I like Nat'l Interstate......you bet I do.

What is it
Coming out of Big Bend Park my wife and I passed a rether large herd of these animals. Can anyone tell me what they are, where they come from. I am guessing they come from Africa, I know some ranches in Texas import exotic animals for hunting.

RE: Rest Stops -South Dakota and Iowa
Two years ago we were in SD and the sign posted 3 hr max. I went inside and asked the attendent how close they held to that. He said the state police and the parks dept were having discussions about this and the parks dept said they would rather have people sleeping in the rest area as on the highway. The police agreed and said they would not enforce the 3 hr max strictly. This was 2 years ago.

Wow Denny Hamlin and Jeff Gordon really put on a show. I love to see racing like that. I guess the real thrill was Kyle not making the chase. Old man Mark Martin sitting on top for the chase at the start.....how great would it be to see him win one.

Well in 2003 I thought I should not take any chances so I made arrangements, then proposed all over again, took her to Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chappel and renewed our vows.
