RE: What's Apps are on your iPhone/iPod Touch?

Question? I have the app "Weather" on my Ipod and it came with the operating system out of the box. When I tap it, it gives me the weather conditions for Cupertino....where the heck is Cupertino and how can I change the location to something that I recognize? When you open the "Weather" app, press the little "i" in the lower right hand corner. Then it will bring up the edit page. To add a city, press the + sign, then type the name of the city in the search box. To delete a city, press the - sign next to the city, then tap "delete".

RE: What's Apps are on your iPhone/iPod Touch?

How many of these do you really need and/or use? It seems like the current "keeping up with the Joneses" as to who has the most. It's not a matter of keeping up with the Joneses. It's a matter of seeing something you like and just know you are going to use it some time. A good number of them I have used a lot and some I have only used once or twice. Most of mine were free, so why not install them and after a while, if you don't use it much, replace it with something else. I like comparing apps with the people I meet because that is how we each learn about other good ones we don't have. I definitely think anyone who likes to take pictures should check our SnapMyLife. You get to see the pictures taken by people all over the world and you can communicate with them.

What's Apps are on your iPhone/iPod Touch?

Although I currently only have 10 pages of apps (I pared down), some of my favorite are: Colorsplash, Remote, SnapMyLife, Shazam, Photoshop.com Mobile, Google, Service Bell (this has helped me greatly when I am trying to get service at a counter), Epicurious, Simplify, Sudoku, Fluid (very relaxing), Text Plus, The Weather Channel, Google Earth, PsngeaVR (ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC 360 degree Photography), You Tube, SodaSnap, PhoneBooth, Evernote, YouNote Lite, 1001 Ringtones, Who Is Hot?, AAA Discounts, Epocrates, Art Gallery, People, Hear Test, Hear Planet, Weatherbug, Open Table, CellFire, Face Melter, Where, HowCast, Hanoi, Here I Am, All Recipes, Easy Relax and Mover.

RE: IPod Touch finally working

I already have 11 FULL pages of apps on my iPhone..... What to do? Keep filling. :) I discovered on my iPhone that pages add. I have 12 now because I was trying to move an app to the 11th page and over shot and created a 12th page. I was full up. Now I am slowly paring down the stuff I haven't used and probably never will use. 11 and 12 pages of apps? Surely you guys have jailbroken? Not jail broken. The latest OS increased the pages from 9 to 11 as the default.I had 12 pages of apps on my iPhone also. Finally used up all my space (16GB phone) and now am slowly paring down. I have so many good ones, it's hard to decide what to get rid of. 99% of my apps were free.

RE: Any tips for Private Party selling my TH

We put our 2009 16 ft Carson Rebel TH on Craigs list and had a deposit in our hands in one week. A couple from Colorado drove all the way to CA to pick it up. My husband posted LOTS of pictures and gave a detailed description of it in addition to listing all the extras we put on it. We made sure the whole TH was spotless before we took pictures and I made sure everything was in place in the TH. We see lots of pictures with the item dirty and clothes and junk piled all over the place. Doesn't make the item for sale very appealing. Make it look as close to new as possible, and don't make it look lived in. People want to be able to picture themselves in it, not others in it. GOOD LUCK.

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Thanks Georgew48. My brother loved life and I'm living it the way he would want me to. Glamis is just what I needed, and it was sooooo much better with a 35 footer instead of our 16 footer with the pull up beds that had to be made before we could move around. I even got a great nite's sleep with the pillow top mattress in the Cyclone. :Z We thought we were going to have to replace the mattress, but it's so nice. I would definitely recommend a 3010 to anyone that asks for my recommendation.

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Well, we finally picked up our Cyclone 3010 on the 19th. Beautiful! Our 2011 3010 has a different color granite on the counters that I am much happier with. It's more brown. The only other differences I noticed is that there is a heater duct in the garage, our TV is a Sharp instead of Jensen and there is a light switch in the bathroom. Not many problems were found during the walk-thru. Most were minor that could be fixed right away. The only complaint we have is the battery. That night when my brother-in-law came by to see the 3010, our battery was dead. They gave us a loaner for now until we get a new battery. We went to Glamis on Christmas Day and that night we kept the heater on. Although it only kicked on a few times that night, the next day that battery was dead too. I guess you really have to have 2 batteries for the 3010. It was great at Glamis. So nice having all the room in the trailer and everyone there in our party (10 trailers) was impressed with the 3010 and the women loved the interior design (I chose the Auburn Hill and love it!) Can't wait to go back to Glamis. Hopefully this Friday! :B

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Well, here it is Saturday and it is raining cats and dogs, and I'm sick, so we canceled getting the Cyclone again. (I told Patrick I think the Cyclone is cursed.) Patrick woke up sick with a bad cold the day we went to Dixon for the funeral. Then, I woke up with the cold Wednesday morning when we were leaving Dixon to go back home. Now we wake up this morning and it was raining super hard, so we really couldn't go to Sun City to inspect the Cyclone in the rain. Patrick set up a new appointment for next Saturday. Hopefully the third time is a charm, although if something else comes up, that's ok. I'm not as excited, and in as much of a rush to get it as I was before. It will be nice when we finally have it, though. Anitajeff, Jeff's creation on the back of the Cyclone is pretty good. He's talented like Patrick.

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Thank you so much to everyone who has had us in their thoughts and prayers. I know it has helped, because I have been handling the loss of Larry better than I thought possible. Manke, you said that we did not know each other, but in a weird way, I feel I know a lot of you although we have never personally met. I know that the people I have been conversing with are caring people that happen to like traveling and adventure just like Patrick and I do. I also know by their posts that they have a sense of humor and want to help people whenever they can. Once again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers and may God keep all of you and your families safe, and remember to tell them regularly that you love them. Barb & Patrick

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Barb, you get your trailer yet?No. Unfortunately we just buried my baby brother today. :( He was 46 and killed in a car crash Nov 30th in Davis Ca. The cyclone came in that day and we set up an Appt for Saturday to inspect it but an hour later found out he was killed 3 hrs before. We cancelled the Appt and a few days later headed up to Dixon CA. Will be returning tomorrow and have an Appt this Sat to get it. Not as excited about it as I was before. The delay in our cyclone arriving was a blessing in disguise.. I spent 3 more days with my brother before the Lord took him home.

RE: Serious question

If a man is all alone out in the middle of a forest miles from another person, is he still wrong? Only if he never intended on ending up where he is. (My husband is never wrong. Wherever we end up, is where he intended on taking me in the first place. He likes to surprise me.) :) But you did not answer the question. Were you wrong?Ahhhh, but you're wrong. I did answer the question.

RE: Maps for Height Restrictions on Roads

Gosh, with everything to think of, I would have never thought of this question until we hit the first bridge. I know Patrick would think of this, but I like to be up on everything too. Thanks for asking the question Anitajeff, and thank you to everyone who responded with suggestions. I've bookmarked the links.

RE: Thanksgiving

At home reading posts instead of at Glamis. Sold our 16' Carson Rebel toy hauler last week and the new 2011 Heartland Cyclone 3010 didn't arrive Monday before Thanksgiving like it was supposed to. Bummer! :M :(

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Nothing ever happens quick enough. Be thankfull though that you were able to sell your old trailer. You might not have it but at least you know your not stuck with it either. It was a great relieve for me when I sold ours. Once you get your new one though you'll be so over whelmed you won't know where to start gloating about the new "baby" in the family. Doug Won't be able to gloat for a while. :( Seems they put a rush on the wrong cyclone. There was someone else who bought a cyclone the same day we did after us and Heartland erroneously rushed theirs before ours. We were the ones who were supposed to have a rush put on theirs to get it before Thanksgiving. Theirs was delivered last Friday instead of ours. :S Ours is still sitting in Indiana waiting til after the holiday to be delivered. It is very disappointing because this was supposed to be our first holiday with our new toy hauler and our first Thanksgiving with Patrick's brother. Instead, we are here and his brother is in Glamis. bummer! Well, I hope you, Diana, anitajeff, and all my other fellow cycloners have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy Glamis if you are there. I will be thinking of all of you and the fun you are having on the sand dunes!

Hey anitajeff, I'd love to see some pics of what you guys have done with this quad rack and how you're transporting the rzr and quad. Whenever you have the chance that would be great :) Thanks.Patrick said he wanted to see the pics too. sound great!

RE: Heartland Cyclone 3010 Fifth Wheel

Yeah, we went back to the fairgrounds to measure a few things a few days after finding out about the endorsement and when I was talking to Mark Richardson about not knowing about the endorsement, I suggested to him that he give his customers a DMV booklet and tell them about the endorsement when they purchase from them. I told him that would impress me and get me to tell all my friends about them.
