Is there any difference between the Rockwood Roo and the Shamrock? Other than the name stenciled on the side! From what we see in the 2006 brochures and specs, they are the same unit with, like I said, a different name on the side.

Only difference is options, color schemes, and price. Same as Winnebago and Itasca.

nothing different except outside decals and interior decor.

this is common in the RV industry, having two twin lines so that two local dealer can sell the same RV without impacting the other's brand.

Forest River produces two lines out of their Millersburg production facility: Rockwood and Flagstaff. Identical lines just different name plates and exterior color packages. The Rockwood has the "Roo" and Flagstaff features the "Shamrock" as their hybrid models respectively. Based from what I read on this forum, there seem to be more Roo owners then Shamrock. Being Irish, we are quite lucky to own a Shamrock...

We have an '07 ROO 23SS. Our DFs have an '07 Shamrock 19. Was surprised to see a slightly different style cabinets. Ours have the arched top on the upper cabinets while theirs are straight across. Other than that, the only difference is trim colors and design.

Forest River changes things, including cabinets and interior trim, whenever it feels like it or runs out of last year's parts. Whatever is on the line that day gets the new stuff or a mix of old and new.

Think of the Roo and Shamrock as identical twin sisters wearing different lipstick. That's it. As noted they come down the same assembly line at the same time.

Two brands lets Forest River offer "exclusive" dealerships in overlapping or identical sales areas. There tend to be much fewer Shamrock dealers in my experience and that may be because all the Rockwood dealerships were taken first. No matter, they're the same trailer. Prices are identical but dealer prices will vary widely.

I see no reason to choose between the two other than street price.

Forest River's Surveyor line is totally separate and promoted as a premium line.
