While we are looking forward to retirement, we take each season/time of year as it comes. We are limited to RVing in the summer right now to when it's summer we go. The rest of the year we enjoy where we are and what we're doing. I'd rather not dwell on where I'm not and enjoy where I am.

Funny, I told DH just last night that as soon as we clean up the dishes from Christmas dinner we are out of here for a week or two - at least. Even in this huge house I have cabin fever and miss the road. Of course it has been raining non-stop for 2 days so that is part of the fever too. We keep telling ourselves that we are going to spend Christmas somewhere in the MH, but every year something stops us from doing it. It is called guilt for not being home with family at the holidays. Oh well.

In my mind, Christmas is for children. So I'm dreaming of RV'ing!

Wish I hadn't read this post, as it makes me want to take off too. In the event we empty the antifreeze and get the new tires on the truck, where are you guys going after Christmas? Aren't you concerned with hitting wintry weather? Sure won't want to end up in a snow storm or ice storm, so curious as to where that would not happen? :-)

Christmas or RVing?? Well, for us that was an easy decision years ago. RVing of course. We generally roll out of Ontario in October...long before the bad weather sets in. No bad driving stress & no Christmas stress. Just another happy day far away from home in the great American Southwest. We are, THE BAYFIELD BUNCH

We will be hitting the road about April 15th. I am having those radioactive seeds put into my prostate on 12/23 (Merry Christmas) and think surely by then, I will be OK to hit the road. We still enjoy CHristmas just like when our daughter believed in Santa.

A little of both for us.Once Christmas is over we will head out for 4-5 days of some R&R before we both have to go back to the rat race in Jan.We camp @ least once a month year round, and try to camp twice a month in spring, summer, and fall.
