Almost 9% with same coverage I had last year.
I was expecting to shop my RV insurance again this year like I have been doing with all my insurance (Auto, Home etc.) for the last couple of years. I have been diligent in saving a lot of $$$ while actually increasing my coverage. I had 1 company in the past 30 years and they got to FAT on my lack of diligence.
I am just going to get 1 other quote this year on the RV to compare again, but looks like Progressive will keep me for another year.

Its just amazing to me how many people don't shop around for ins every now and then,.....thinking that if they remain loyal to one company for years, surely they must be getting the best rate around. And those companys love you kind of people,...while laughing all the way to the bank. I check prices every year, because its so easy on line.
But for some strange reason, I've been able to stay w/ the same
company ever since moving to Or 4 yrs ago. Scary at best

I like to shop for ins. too, but always find that what I have now with SF for home, cars,RV,motorcycle and blanket combined has remained the lowest cost for many years. Good feeling though to know that your not getting S******.

I've had Progressive for 8 years now. The first two years stayed the same, every year after that my premiums dropped. I am now paying almost half of what I was paying when I started out. My son in law works for progressive. He said that doesn't surprise him, they are trying to keep the good drivers with no claims by giving them discounts.

It's AFI, and their web site says:
We offer Armed Forces Insurance Exchange (AFIE) auto policies in 10 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington) and auto policies through Progressive insurance in those 10 states plus 28 additional states.

We were on P for over 7 years and now I'm with SF. We save $100 every 6 months and $100 a year on our home for a total of $300 a year savings. The only problem I have is that they use your credit score to adjust the premiums. Example: about 3 years ago I re-roofed my house myself. So we took 4 of those no-intrest for 6 months line of credit with Home Depot and bought all of our suppies. Well our insurance went up because of this, serious, the P agent told us this was the case when we called about the increase. Left a bad taste in our mouth but the rate was still better then others, till now.
Shop around and look at everything.

Hello.....new here, my first post.
We have had our autos and MH insured with GMAC for 5, 6 years or more. We are fulltimers, our home base is in PA. We just received notice that our rates with GMAC have been increased $24 per month. Both of us are safe drivers, no points, no chargable accidents ever and one small claim 2 years ago for a damaged awning. When I questioned the increase, their reasoning was we live in PA and, while we are safe drivers, not every driver in that state is, so we must pay higher premiums. What a crock.
BTW, this policy was purchased from GMAC via Camping World because the premiums are a little higher if one goes through Good Sam. YOu can also get a bit lower rate going to GMAC direct than you can get via Good Sam. Go figure...... However,I did contact GS to tell them of the increase and GMAC's reasoning suggesting that they may want to advocate for their members and look for a more reasonable provider to endorse. We have been GS members for many years. So far, no response; I suspect my suggestion went directly to GMAC so I did contact the GS consumer advocate with my complaint just today. I won't give up until someone at GS responds and I will not be renewing my membership if they don't.
At any rate, I am now prospecting for a new provider and have reduced the requested coverage to the absolute minimum on the MH, our tow vehicle, and an aged Taurus I keep in PA for summer driving. I will be selling it when we get back to PA in the spring. We split our time between PA and FL. Progressive's MH rates are excellent, but their rates for our autos are more than double that of GMAC's. We may just use both providers if we can't find a better choice, but GMAC now charges $50 for a policy cancellation, so we need to factor that into our decision. Seems GMAC has created their own insurance empire and they get you one way or the other.
Currently we are paying almost $2,500 per year for full coverage, $1,000 deductible on a 2005 Newmar Mountain Aire gas coach, a 2005 Trailblazer, and a 99 Ford Taurus wagon with comprehensive only, no collision. We have opted for the minimum coverage allowed by law. Any suggestions on other companies I should contact?
Thanks in advance..........

Contact an Insurance Agent.. I am sue you know someone that can refer you to one in your area.. Let them do all the work for you.. They'll rate shop, compare coverage, etc.. Heck, she even lets me know before renewal that she has shopped rates, and here are your options...
