Follow my thread in my sig and there's a whole day's report about replacing fans - not specifically fantastic fans but the principle is the same.

Very easy install. Remove the old, inspect the framing, install new, putty tape under the flange, and connect wiring. Dicor for the flange/screws when done.

Fantastic is also a great company to deal with-they often replace broken parts free of charge. VK

Hi,

Mine was very easy to change out. So easy that I also did the kitchen and bedroom.

The bath and kitchen already had a small and noisy fan, so I knew there was 12 volt power. I was a bit surprised to find both 120 and 12 volt power in the space between the inside cover and my roof vent on the bedroom vent! You might find power at all of your vents too!

I bought rubber roof sealant at Camping World.

Good Luck,

Fred.

I replaced my little bathroom whirr and buzz with a MaxxAire type of fan in the cover. no removing old stuff/sealing/etc. just mount over old vent cover.
noise moved out and away, can leave operating in the rain, much nicer than a fantastic one IMHO.
