We have a 700 series Garmin Nuvi in the MH. Using the flat adhesive dash disk mount works great with the suction cup. Want to mount the Nuvi in the wife's BMW. She threw a hissy about sticking anything to the dash in her bimmer. Was looking at after market bean bag friction mounts. Garmin makes one. Also found several variations by other manufacturers. Anybody got real life experience with a friction mount?

they work well. Our suction cup didn't like to stick to the flat surface of the bean bag mount, so I glued it on. Works GREAT now.

Don't blame her, my wife doesn't want it stuck to her Bimmer either.
Been wondering about bean bags

GPS City in Las Vegas sells a beanbag mount with a silicone bottom that works great. Don't remember exactly what I paid but it was a fraction of what Garmin charges. I think it was about $12.
You can check it out online on the GPS City website.

Why don't you just suction it to the windshield in the corner out of the way.

Assuming the windshield on a beamer is flat enough, I second that idea.

I use the beanymount because my window mount puts the Garmin too far away to reach in the MH. I like it on the dashtop just above my rearview camera. The dash top is slightly sloped there, so on a bumpy road the whole deal slowly slides away. I need to drag it back about every 15 minutes. No big deal.
