Beat me to it I know hitch pin will hold up the world before it shears but just looks small.

I fly airplanes and also work on them, the first time I diassembled a rudder and saw how little the bolts were....

A 5/16" grade 5 pin has a shear strength of 6,300#. More than adequate to hold up the tongue weight of a TT.
