We have a great Niagara popup but wanted to do more traveling than camping. We just didn't think we could manage the popping up and down every couple of days, so we started looking at travel trailers. We settled on a Forest River Surveyer 295. I hope we made the right choice; we love the floorplan, the outside kitchen, and the look of it. My husband said it towed GREAT on the way home.

BUT...Just as I was on the way to buy it, a salesman from another dealership called me. When i told him what we had decided on, he yelled that we would regret it, that we would absolutely wish we hadn't bought it and he slammed the phone down. I don't know if he really meant we would regret it or if he was mad. Either way, it's really bothering me. Most of what I read before buying indicated the surveyers were fine. I called two rv repair shops; both said it's fine...not perfect, but none are. Any input that might make me feel a little better?

What he regretted was that you hadn't given him your money. Now aren't you glad you didn't do business with someone that childish? I have no knowledge of the Surveyor but my Rockwood (another Forest River brand) has been GOLD for over 60,000 towing miles.

I agree, he was probably mad at losing the sale. Sounds like he's not the type I'd want to work with anyway. Good luck with your new purchase - enjoy!

I am smiling. Thank you for the support! I guess I should let his boss know. I sure won't go there in the future if we downsize or upsize.
Thank you!

Yep, he was just angry that he lost the sale. Most of these guys know nothing about RV's so his "opinion" of your purchase is just a knee jerk reaction to losing the commission. Chances are he would sell you a piece of junk with a happy face as long as he was getting paid.

We had a similar experience after talking with one salesman about a possible purchase. He couldn't meet our budget, so we bought elsewhere. He won't even speak to us when we go in for general maintenance. Oh well.

I don't have much to say about that salesman. I just wanted to say congratulations on the new TT! That's sure a nice trailer, I really like the outdoor kitchen!

Enjoy the new trailer and forget about him...he was just a tool used to attack you and take away from your fun! These kind of things happen all the time and you just brush them off and keep smiling. That new trailer is going to provide you some great memories.
God Bless, be safe and have fun!
