I recently changed the pressure relief valve on our water heater - water had been pouring from it.
All was fine for 2 weeks or so.
Now, I get a FAULT light on AC or Propane - it's am intermittent problem but seems to be getting worse.
The burner tube etc are clear.
Whats next please ???

Let me suggest that you go to Bryant RVand down-load a copy of the service manual for the water heater. In the mean time, since you had a leaking relief valve I would examine all of the connections below it for corrosion problems from having been wet. Also, get out your volt/ohm meter and trace to see where you loose voltage.
Have someone inside turn the water heater on while you watch to see if the igniter sparks, does the gas light at all, and anything else that you can observe. It will take a long time if you just start guessing.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I now believe the thermostat to be at fault.
If I let the water cool down (or run the hot faucet for a while) and THEN turn the water heater back on (AC or propane) then it works OK.
I already ordered a replacement thermostat / eco but had a problem when they arrived.
The thermostat (or was it the eco) should have had a dot painted on it to identify it from the other.
However, neither the thermostat or eco had that dot and both look exactly the same.
So, I dont know which to install.
Q. will it do damage if I try one and (if it doesnt make any difference) use the other - this is to find which is the thermostat.

1. The "fault" light is just an indicator that the W/H did NOT light on LP, nothing else. There is no indicator of fault when on 120 volt.
2. The ECO is set at 180 degrees and the Tstat is set at 140 degrees. Usually you can see the 180 or 140 embossed on the tstat and ECO.
3. SO, do not use if you are not sure as 180 degrees is not good.
4. The ECO will cause the gas valve to not close. The tstat calls for the LP or 120 to come on. So, if they were defective, you would not get a fault light unless the ECO was the culprit. Doug
