Getting ready to look at an used rv. Was wondering what you all thought about the name brand. It is a Mallard by fleetwood 2001 model. 26E The people who had it took really good care of it. Or so i am told. What should i look for when looking at it. The price seems good. The man that owned it died so they are selling it. any help appreciated Tim

Welcome to the forum. I would obtain a ladder and check over the roof to see the condition of caulk and for any signs of water damage. Check the floor over real good for soft spots and check under the sinks for any water leakage. Fire up the furnace, water heater, fridge,AC etc. Look underneath for any damage due to critters. Check to see if tires are originals, which will need replacement due to age. Road test to see if brakes and lights work. Everything else is cosmetic and if the price is right, go for it and have fun. Best of luck to you.

I think they made a gazillion of those Mallards so there should be lots of folks who can share their experiences with you.

Its only 8 years old so if its in good shape, everything works and its a good price I would say go for it.

Enjoy!

I thought the Mallard was an entry level unit so price should reflect that.
